So, what are the exciting E3 announcements?

Planet Coaster - not exactly what I was hoping for. Oh well.

Edit: for those who didn't watch the E3 show - this is a theme park simulator that has nothing to do with Elite. Cartoon graphics and focused - presumably - on building and managing amusement parks. David did say, however, that more cool stuff is coming to Elite on PC - but that was the extent of it.

I've never seen David Braben so nervous.

He was so nervous on E3 PC gaming showcase. Man the guy is so amazing though. Man I wish I could meet him.

While I'm very happy to see a successor to the roller coaster tycoon franchise I feel we were kinda mislead on Frontier at E3 they didn't go into any level real detail at either conference which was pretty dissapointing.

I know I was being cynical, but wow...I didn't think he would actually not talk about Elite...I didn't have much expectations and I'm still left incredibly disappointed.

No reveal, not a damn thing about Elite.

Just a trailer for "Planet coaster"... Between that and the Xbox release, I think Elite on PC will take the back seat for a while. :(

besides Braben's hilarious screw up with the headset or whatever, I'm growing more and more concerned with Elite on the PC. They were/are working on Roller Coaster Tycoon, mentioned nothing about the future of Elite on PC, and had a greater presence on consoles with the announcement of Xbox One exclusive content. Hmmm...

Well he came out and started to talk about elite dangerous. Then as he was talking just stopped saying anything like a frog was caught in his throat. Then says after a long pause but we have been working on this instead. Some stupid dumb rollercoaster theme park simulator.

Is that what our money we put into this game is for some other freak en dumb theme park sim. ? Didnt say anything new about elite dangerous.

Nothing at all about Elite dangerous. Not even hey we are working on this or that.

From the first presenter on stage he had something really smart to say about developers and specially about kickstarters, early access games and such.
For the developers "they have to keep the players up to date on the games progress".

Look at Star Citizen website. Its has a page that has development progress. Each month they have updated info on all aspects of the game itself of what they are working on. Even the actual game mechanics. Complete detailed updates.

For us we get compared to them hardly anything at all based off of the info from what SC guys get.

Seem like a big blunder to me. The very least he could have shown off is some concept art or something to give us a taste of what coming next.

Let be honest this is a pretty poor PC show overall. Even Nintendo conference beats this, at least the puppets were entertaining even if the games were terrible.

well he was probably scared feces-less that some early backer forumites were going to bumrush the stage and tear out his innards for betraying them and releasing CGC on X-Box first. So he just wanted to get the hell out of there. Cant say I blame him.

Not mentioning Elite at all, and then promoting Roller Coaster Tycoon is bound to upset people. Not a smart move after saying they were going to have exciting things to say. Brutal.
