No you weren't! you only worked the first week as rank 1! which earned you 1k credits, which is correct, now if you had over 10k merits before week 1 actually finished, you would have been working week 2 as rating 5 and would have received your 50M this morning. You have to work for a full cycle at that rating to be paid for that rating. In real life, if you get a promotion at the start of the month, do they go back and increase your wage for last months hours? of course not!

actually day 1 you started as rank 1 (just for pledging), no matter how many credits you earn that week you are only going to get paid 1k credits since you started that week as rank 1 and were not promoted until the first day of week 2.
if you started last week as rank 5 then yes, this morning should have seen you receive 50M credits, however if you only earned enough merits to see you rise to rank 5 this week, you will only have received 5M credits.

Not sure what happened at the end of week 2 for you, but you're still missing the point about week1. You get paid at the end of a cycle based on your rank during that cycle. So, in cycle 1 you were rank 1. Then, at the end of cycle 1, you get paid, and your new rank is calculated. In your case, this should have been rank 5. I'd have expected you to get paid the 50m at the end of cycle 2, because at the end of cycle 2, you were rank5.

You get this wrong, as most seem to do ...

In week 1 you were Rank 1 over the entire week and in the end, you got 1000 Cr ..

As you have amassed 11k Merits during week 1, you get promoted to rank 5 ... and will get 50 mil Cr at it's end.

For week 2, your merits got zero'ed, you got a bonus of half your week 1 merits (not true, as you lost less due to the server hickups or dev decision ... but lets assume you've gotten just 50%).
You now have 5500 merits ... and collect another 4500 ... so at the weeks end, your merits get zero'ed again, you keep your rank for the merits you owned, will get 50 mil at the end of week 3 (no matter if you even play during that week) and get bonus merits again ... 2750 from week 1 (25% of 11k) plus 2250 (50% of the 4500 you made in week 2), getting you to 5k merits at the start of week 3.

That's how it should work .. but it doesn't, I kept almost all the merits I made during week 2 and assume, that's a bug (probably kept the formula the way it was for week 1 accidently).

That didn't and can't happen. Week 1 ended early due to a bug. You only get promoted at the end of a cycle. When you got promoted is when the cycle ended.

I thought the merit decay was 50%? I had 4K merits and now I have 3.6K merits?

I had 752 yesterday night, just above the 750 mark. This morning, I had 693. I got my additional 5 nominations but I'm not sure I got the 500k CR. I think some of the stuff is still buggy. It would be nice to have a credit history so that you can see over time what you paid for and what you earned.

You'll get your 500K at the end of the week. This week I ended on 1646 merits, but got paid 50K: because I was on rank 2. I expect 5MCr at the end of *this* week.

That looks like a bug to me. Did you notice also that the time pledged doesn't change? It happens to me too. I've been stuck at 1 week 3 days pledged since the last cycle. It didn't change when I checked this morning.

what you are at the start of week n is what you get paid at the start of week n+1, is that easier to understand. what im saying is, working for a month as an employee, then getting promoted at the end of the month to manager will not mean that you got that first months wages at manager level will it? no, it means that this coming month you will be working as a manager and will receive that wage at the start of the next month.

well your either photoshopping as you cannot go up ratings during a cycle (only during server downtime), or you seen nothing but a visual bug, or you got support to change your rating to 5 because the cycle ticked over early when you still had merits in your ship, which has had a knock on effect, in which case you should go back to support and tell them they have broke your rating.

Uhmmm .. in the first picture, you're rank 1, even though you have 10k+ merrits .. and rightfully got 1000 Cr at the end of the cycle.

Now you are Rank 5 and will get 50 mil Cr at the end of this cycle.

I just saw the dates on those pictures .. you're right, you should have gotten 50 mil by the end of the last cycle .. but the cash doesn't just get added .. you need to fly to a controlled system and hand in your voucher to get your cash.

In the comm tab (default key "2"), the 2nd last tab .. there you should find it .. read it and fly to one of Aislings controlled systems, dock .. use the contacts tab at the station and do what you do when you hand in the merrit vouchers for killing enemies of Aisling.

I would guess fly to a control system and talk to the power contact to claim your salary... not so much hand in a voucher as just go and collect it... I forgot about this part... I am out in the black with 2 weeks of vouchers (1K each) so do they keep a track of unclaimed vouchers? does anyone know this???

I assume the reason you didn't get it at the start of cycle 2 is that you have to have been rank 5 throughout the cycle. Did you really get promoted to rank 5 on day 4? Or did you just reach 10k merits on day 4 but were in fact promoted at the end of the cycle?

What happened in week 2 seems like a bug. Whatever you did in week 2, you should have gotten your 50m, because you were rank 5 when cycle 2 commenced.

It was day 5 I was promoted I mistakenly thought it was day 4 but either way it was before day 7, anyways I logged out early about 4am on day 5 and was level 1 with over 10k of merits, i took a screenshot to show a friend I had amassed over 10,000 merits already as he wanted proof, logged in later the same day after some sleep and noticed I was level 5 which was confusing so I posted it support and they explained why everyone was promoted early, i.e. day 5 not day 7, because of cycle being on Thursdays,
Then not automatically receiving the bonus had me troubled, but after some very useful information in this thread it is now all sorted and less confusing,
