Slaves for sale at Abraham Lincoln?

So, it's been a few months since I've played, and just jumped back in. Whilst navigating Powerplay and figuring that whole hornet's nets out, I stopped by Abraham Lincoln, and saw that there were Slaves for sale.

Slaves at Abraham Lincoln.

Not through a black market contact, but on the open commodities market. Did I miss some significant news somewhere along the way, or is this a bug?

as an interesting note, lincoln only freed slaves in states that were in open rebellion against the north.

he didn't actually free all the slaves.

Just stopped by Abraham Lincoln, myself, and had the same question. The system map shows slaves as prohibited, yet they are on sale in the regular market. Like the OP's screenshot, there are about a half a million of them on supply.

Regardless of the historical accuracies (which jay88 might have pointed out - I don't know), how is this possible at a station named Abraham Freaking Lincoln??
And why is something prohibited on sale on their own regular market?

If you're only talking about the emancipation proclamation then your assertion is correct. Lincoln was unable to do this because the emancipation proclamation was issued under the President's war powers, it necessarily excluded areas not in rebellion since only Congress could pass such a law.

However, after the civil war, Lincoln did push for the passage of the thirteenth amendment, and congress passed it, abolishing slavery throughout the US and thus, freeing all the slaves.

They seem to have messed up the market but it might just be a step towards having black market sales that a lot of folk have asked for.

A lot of history books make the civil war out to have been in part about slavery, but slavery was just incidental and at most something to get people riled up.

As usual with wars, the official reason is almost never the real reason. This war was instigated by the British, with the help of certain bankers, trying to regain control over their colony.

They never gave up on that since either. They're just controlling it in less visible ways by controlling the money through the FED, which is not a U.S. institution but is privately owned by an Anglo-International banking cartel. The reasons why Lincoln and JFK died are not very different: neither intended to play along with external control of the country's money.

Slavery is still around and we didn't get rid of fascism either. They're just doing it in a more subtle way - its mainstream media circus instead of military clown hats for now.

First part is true... everything after this made me laugh. Picturing you with a bong ranting about "The Man". It was about the South wanting to sell crops to the highest bidder instead of being forced to sell for cheaper to the North. North was losing and used slavery as something to help booster their ranks.

That takes the biscuit. Is this bug ever going to get fixed FD?
Illegal goods are on sale in the open market at lots of other stations too but this one just highlights the ridiculousness of it.

Is there any special state to the faction running "Abraham Lincoln"? Or a community goal?

Sometimes those change the market.
