I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!

Did you miss me? :D

My longest voyage out in the deep so far. Over 3.5 weeks of boldly going where I haven't been before. Many new systems, many stars scanned, now it's time to sell my data after having arrived at Lembava.

I did the run completely open and no sign of any interdiction attempt at all. But it's sure nice to get back into civilised space. The next big trip will definitely be to the far side.

Now to see if i can make it into the top 5% for the CG. :D

First!*

*to welcome you back. Welcome back !

You are a braver man than me. I got killed at lembava 2 days ago, wouldn't dare risk that with 3.5 weeks of data

I'd even posted in the Lembava thread I was gonna do it. Admittedly I was little late, but hey ho.

That's dashboard light..... :p

But thanks on the other stuff. :D

In reality, Jim Steinman is one of the most under rated songwriters there is.

Exactly why mothers make sons want to crawl away. Bare in mind the gasboard in the UK still existed when she sang that killer line :p

So it made sense to her, but to me I was mouthing to her "DASHBOARD LIGHT" :p

Not quite old enough for that....but not far off.

At least you know what your mother was getting her funk off to and how you came about... :D :D :D

Indeed - I also think Steinman was underated and I sadly know most of his stuff off by heart.

But a HUGE pat on the back for you to have the round metal spheres to become CMDR JIM STEINMAN :)

And once again congratz on your journey - I step back and clap that and promise I will not let my mothers miss quotes intrude on your coming home thread again :)

Steinman is one of my two favourite songwriters ever. The other being Ralph McTell. I'm learning the stuff on piano again.

But I appreciate the congratulations, thank you. As to having the spheres to do it? It's a tribute if you will. If only we could name our ships in game.

Your mothers miss quotes are fine...at least it wasn't something god awful like Justin Bieber. :D

And have you seen the old man
Outside the seaman's mission
Memory fading with
The medal ribbons that he wears.
In our winter city,
The rain cries a little pity
For one more forgotten hero
And a world that doesn't care

Apologies posted AGAIN in your home coming :(

Dude it's not a problem. Streets of London gets to me every time I go to see Ralph in concert. I've met him four times after gigs and he's one of the most genuine people I have ever met in my life. Got loads of signed stuff and everything.

What was special I guess about Ralph was, I put in a request for a concert in Alnwick two years ago for a song of his called In the Dreamtime. I'd had it played for someone at a funeral and I didn't know at the time he'd lost his mother only the December before the October concert. He played it and said it was for me during the concert for a special reason. Speaking to him afterwards he was very warm and genuine about it. Kinda amazing in a way.

Met Meat Loaf as well which was cool.
