OP, got any stats to back up your claim? Or is it just a "feeling"?
Idk man i play CSGO every day and people seem to want to play with me...kind of strange...also i play dayz regularly and also people seem to want to play with me...Good luck shooting someone in another instance. Also, are you really surprised people don't want to play with you ?
I have the same opinion about PvP.

Lot of people apparently disagree with you, just sayin'
?? Actually, I have seen the opposite, I have seen more players since PP and had more PvP since powerplay was introduced.
Depends on where you are, just like in any MMO. Plenty of players around, just you need to head to where they are.
It seems they are playing in a nearby galaxy then. I Play at evening until european late night, going around the systems, systems that were full of peoples, and no one there, just some mostly harmless CMDRs from time to time, then the usual Python Pilots I see every night, 10/15 players overall.
But perhaps it's my fault, SOLO mode is perfect as it is.

Perhaps what it did is spread out the players in Open into many more different systems instead of all just congregating in the same few?
(Complimentary beverages will be served in the mega-thread, please just ask your host, Robert.)
They are both Multiplayer only and and dayz in particular lets you do whatever you want when you want just like in ED ? Idk can you help me out ? Also Dayz is kind of against PvP so again(devs try hard to make it more pve), can you help me out here? They both have something in common with each other, which they don't share with ED. Can you spot it?

Yeah nice fight. But do you play CSGO Casual mode? Thought so...the same here. No competitive mode no incentive to keep aimlessly shooting people.Wah mek does dis mek mi laugh?
On de plus side - CQC mode! Equal footin, matched mons - gud fight!
ACtually i'm not sure if you are trolling me. Is it that hard to grasp what i actually proposed? Separate them. Why does that bother you? Just answer? You can still play both whenever you wish.Dunno if he's trolling now or have been from the start.![]()
... which is just fine if you have an internet connection that can provide the necessary speed for Open, to avoid excessive lag and jumping (especially in situations where there are lots of ships flying around, e.g. CZs, RES's etc), not to mention being disconnected from the matchmaking server. Many of us don't have this quality of connection available to us, which is why we play in Solo. You know the answer don't you, but its going to create a lot of complaints? ED has to change so that PP only works in Open.
You see? It doesn't bother you at all if they are separated. So i ask you now, why are all these people here rejecting with all their might my sugestions? What does that affect them ? They still play in Solo anyway why do they give even a squat ?Hehehe, the various game modes exist, have done so since Gamma, and were always planned to be the way they are.
The allow people to play the way they want to, and also to complain about the way other people like to play, in a nice egalitarian and fair manner
It does seem that it is mostly the proponents of open play, who complain about group and solo play. And they do have some valid issues, especially around mining, farming RES and CZs - it is far more 'efficient' in group/solo mode.
As for trading and piracy, again there is something to be said for those wishing to play pirate and pull over other CMDRs to stand and deliver, or play Bounty Hunter and go after notorious criminal CMDRs - only for the notorious crims to be playing Solo.
On the other side of the coin, many CMDRs (esp. early backers) are simply not interested in multiplayer at all, or the 'evolving' galaxy, and wanted an offline single player game. Until I got fibre broadband, playing open or group was simply a no-no, my standard adsl broadband was not up to the task - so solo was the only option - other CMDRs are in a similar position, with low bandwidth, open play is not practical.
What's the answer?
I really don't know.
IMO the issue is that there is hardly any incentive to play in Open unless you're a pirate.
Trading - safer in Solo/PG, spend less time docking as you don't have to wait for a slot.
Combat - more profitable in solo/PG as you don't get your kills stolen
Mining - safer in Solo/PG, spend less time docking to sell ore as you don't have to wait for a slot.
Smuggling - Much safer in Solo/PG, dock time (which is most important thing) not an issue waiting for slots.
Pirate - PVP giggles in Open but if you're just targeting NPCs it's safer/more profitable in Solo/PG
Powerplay farming - safer/easier in Solo/PG
Exploring - doesn't really matter as you won't see anyone in Open.
Unless I want PVP action there's no point in Open, it just makes life harder.
