Trade REP Arrows going crazy

Could it be that these REP Arrows on the sub Factions are currently bugged?

If i start my trade runs, the first 3~4 runs nothing shows up. After 5~7 runs i get a lot of red arrows and if iam doing my last 10~12 runs everythink turns back blue.

Whats up with that?

It's the same with some Influence Levels that can oscillate crazy, Civil Wars breaking out of nowhere for no discernable reasons or even System Controlling Factions or Station ownership flipping back & forth multiple times per day.

Personal record was an Independent System, that within 2 days :
- turned from Independent to Alliance and a civil war
- and back
- and to Alliance again
- then a Federation Faction popped up out of nowhere with a whopping 58% Influence
- then the entire System flipped to Federation control
- and back to Alliance control
- and back to Federation control
- and back to Alliance, which remained at civil war but with no opposing faction (this last one literally occured within 15 Minutes)

The whole complex of these effects is currently severely bugged.
So whatever you see on the System Maps right now - if there is anything unusual about it... you might be better off assessing it for a little while before jumping the gun.

People complained that the game was static and the background simulation not dynamic enough...

...your welcome!!!!

:D

They aren't trade rep icons either - they are rep icons they are affected by many different actions.

Off course you get this arrows by trading too, and i did noting else except trading. So there is something very wrong or this games tries to restrain that i never get federal admiral  by ruining my rep. Conspiracy!

Or maybe the factions with the down rep don't like who you traded to?

Are you doing straight trading or trading/courier missions + donation missions? If you are doing these (which privide higher rep rewards than just trading) are you doing for any faction or just one at each station?

So what people are saying is POWERPLAY is bugged. I am shocked ;-)

People are not saying that in this thread. We are discussing rep changes in 1.3.

Powerplay was only a part of 1.3.

The rep changes were also part of 1.3.

Not all the implications of changes to 1.3 are understood yet. Hence a discussion about them.

Nice try at trolling, shame it adds nothing to the discussion though.

Every system I've been to in the past few days has had red arrows on all the minor factions but one, and my rep with everyone seems to be randomly going up and down too. Dunno what the deal is.

It is bugged hence why I don't play Powerplay. Apart from its end of game add on as they is no benefits of playing POWERPLAY until you have done everything else and filthy rich and bored. I having been playing since last October and still only in a Python. I have tried all different jobs in ED so I am not filthy rich yet. I expect I will be by some time next year. Only then will I want to commit to certain part of the galaxy and do Powerplay. Most people I speak to who are playing Powerplay complain that certain things don't work mostly rep etc. So my comment stands POWERPLAY is bugged. I am not a troll.

I don't participate in Power Play either (yet), but am still seeing the issue with rep arrows described above. It's not a PP issue, it's a v1.3 issue.

Iam straight Trading, the same goods from the beginning to the end. I do nothing else. At first i get nothing, then red arrows and in the end blue arrows.

And i have to mention that my trade stations are outside the powerplay space.

It seems to me that they put 1.3 on a older version of ED which between then and adding 1.3 some bugs where fixed. But as they added 1.3 these bugs have come back with even more bugs. FD why why why? Correct me if I am wrong but why bring out a end of game add on instead of fixing bugs? I have not played ED for last few days as I rather wait until some of these bugs are fixed which seems rather slow on patches this week. Or are they all fixing bugs on the Xbone?

Yeh, I've been working on pumping up a minor faction in Aura for about a week now and logged in today to find that it plummeted from 91% to 66% overnight. When I select individual factions in the systems they gain and lose states seemingly at random too. It seems like this stuff has been an issue with varying degrees of severity for a while now.

I notice that you didn't state who you're trading with. It matters. If you're trying to gain Empire rep but one of the trading stations is not Empire, then expect the rep to act a little weird as it bounces back and forth across 0 rep. Doing missions for both trading stations where one of them isn't your major faction makes it bounce even more. If you want to see progress with one major faction, avoid all trading with other major factions and avoid all missions that are against your desired major faction. For example, this includes avoiding Empire missions where one Empire faction hires you to do something against another Empire faction.

Just checked again when I docked at Gende today. All my reputations with major and minor factions have down arrows for no reason, 3 of the 5 minor factions in the system, including the controlling faction that own the only station (Order of Gende), have 0% influence. A different empire faction from Tialocan has something like 60% influence, and the bulletin board is full of missions from that faction, despite the traffic report showing too few players to make such a change so quickly. This happened last time the system got bugged after the 1.3 launch, and it was briefly fixed when they reset minor faction influence to pre-1.3 levels, but it looks to be broken again. Or possibly just never fixed in the first place.

Except this thread is not about Powerplay but Faction Rep changes since 1.3 and how best to deal with them.

Therefore your attempt to throw in a completely unnecessary, unproductive and unhelpful comment about PP having bugs is trolling IMO.

That's a load of tosh IMO. FD did not build 1.3 on an older version of ED - It is normal development that old bugs are sometimes un-fixed by new content, new bugs are introduced and balancing sometimes goes wrong - this is quite normal for software that is in continual development. No one builds new content or fixes on top of an old version.

However this (again) has nothing to do with what we are discussing here. Please stop trying to derail a discussion about rep changes since 1.3 into a whine about general bugs in PP or 1.3.

Since 1.3 I have noticed rep arrows dropping more and more quickly after I have logged off (over night for example). With 1.3 I would say rep deterioration rate from inactivity has increased (it always used to very slowly) - maybe too quickly now? - I don't see any direct correlation with PP changes but it is (and has always been) hard to know what other players are doing in your chosen system(s).

If you are trading, I would recommend trying to run a few trade missions for a single faction (I tended to choose the one with the most influence in the system in the first place) and then take on whatever cargo you need to fill up the remaining space.

It is rare that you carry more than a few dozen tonnes and the credit bonuses can often be more than the straight trading profit (so you aren't losing out). You may find your rep increases more quickly.
