Way to many think the fed drop ship is weak. I have fought against all ships expect a conda and another FDS and beaten them. a PVP fitted FDS is a real threat with its crazy strong hull and its 4 med/ 1 large weapon points.
People should really stop underestimating the fed drop ship.

The Dropship is not weak, and surely not fragile.
Its price is its downfall... For around the same price range, you can buy the Clipper which is so much better... The Dropship is slow and cumbersome, and does not carry that much cargo... The Clipper is a blast to fly, much faster, more cargo...

I don't think it's weak, I think it's hideous.
yeah the price range for outfitting does suck a bit. i would not say its cumbersome once you master FA off since then you can keep up with ships with a faster turning circle. funny thing is FDS can almost out ram and clipper. I only know this becuase one ramed me lol

Pre 1.3 Dropships were made of tissue paper (soaked in brandy) but post 1.3 Dropships are MUCH tougher and can be a nuisance. Their powerplants are significantly better protected.
I must have missed that in the patch notes. Is it true? Were there other changes on ships?
A decent commander in a Sidey can eat you alive. Has nothing to do with the FDS.
ok its not the ship but the person piloting it. Any ship is deadly in the right hands its just how you use it.
Hi guys I've noticed in high intensity CSs the FDS are one of the targets i look to destroy since i find my vulture can finish them off in a few seconds. are these FDS stock ships? or do they have some upgrades?
I witnessed a commander in a FDS see off a commander in a Python. Was most fun to watch.
I think they are underestimated. Same goes for the Orca, people laughed at it until some people showed how good they can be if used right.

Nobody will be laughin when they see one of those careening through the atmosphere straight towards the ground full of Federal troops. They will be laughing when the pilot slams into the ground because he forgot the airbrakes.
