Rhubarb. Only inside the "rhubarb triangle". I.e. Around Wakefield, Leeds and Bradford. I've just done a quick search on the galaxy map and they seem to be conspicuous by their absence

It seems to me more like that there was unfortunate combination of E3 and Michael being ill for some time (thus absent I assume). I am ready to bet that big, big update regarding PowerPlay is coming soon (my money is on tomorrow's dev update). I also expect next three weeks hearing more about changes and updates in PowerPlay and other existing mechanics.
Yeah, partly this is true. I would not want them to give me times or schedule, I agree on that point. Oh God, if my old CEO would have done that.... but no, he HAD to promise a date, so we ended up doing overtime and weekends. And still the quality was kinda crap at first release.
So no, please don't tell us release times.

FD could tell us WHAT is the content of the upcoming update. The one or two things that WILL be in there as they are being worked on right now. Unless of course they are not working on anything. Because then what they do now announcement-wise is completely appropriate.
This reminds me how David said on E3 Joystiq twitch stream - ohh yeah, we are getting damage models ready, and we have internal date, but no, we won't tell you, because of this.
However, what surprises me that ED doesn't explore possibility to tell little without revealing date. "This year" is enough for me in my book. Or just drop concept art that artists have nailed down. Most concept arts seems to be followed by very close implementation in a game.
Yeah well, they also hinted at a BIG REVEAL in E3 and we got CQC for Xbone. They then hinted that the BIG REVEAL FOR PC would come shortly thereafter.

Personally, I hope there are no big reveals for a while, and that they focus all of their manpower into fixing what everyone knows needs fixing.
They hinted that big reveal for PC will come in "following months". Not shortly after. That kinda fits with August 5 at Gamescom.
And yes, I actually believe they will spend some time with tweaking and fixing PowerPlay (while biggest part of the team works on next big thing).

What I got from the last DEV update was an exciting reveal coming soon. I don't see this as a set of tweaks and bug fixes although it could contain those also. To me this certainly does seem like something new for ED. I'm not going to get excited though as what FD think is exciting and what I think is exciting seem to be completely different things.
All the potential money from the PC market and still in the top ten on steam quite often? Nah...there is still plenty potential left. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Every release this year have matched the times they gave us releases last year. I see no reason this should change in any major way so far. I suspect 2 more (free) major updates too the core game and a paid expansion before the end of the year.
Nothing more needs to be said. FD has been Demonized quiet a bit for no good reason. So silence is preferable to negative hype by crazy poeople.
Problem with that assessment is, people that have been vocal about the issues with Elite do so because they want to see the games idea realized. If the forums suddenly went silent, well that would be a problem.
