Reached Elite in trading... Now what?

Tuesday the 23rd last month I decided I wanted Elite in Trading. I was already at 15% Tycoon and today I got the last 2% progression I needed for Elite.
So here I sit in Jameson Memorial in a Cobra with the outfit I wanted and a bit more than a billion credits in my balance and I forgot what I wanted to do afterwards.

Anyone have any suggestions?
Ship builds and what to do in them, etc etc.

i still can't believe that ED's biggest and well known feature is cargo hauling, wish i'd looked up more reviews before i bought it and saved myself some money

in space games you can let your designs run wild and make anything believable because its the future and space, yet we are left with a hauling simulator

Well, since you are no stranger to grinding, may I suggest trying Powerplay? It'd give you a sense of purpose to the game other then grinding credits (aka grinding merits), you get access to some bonuses including a unique and crappy weapon and you get to meet new interesting people (and sometimes blow them up, if you want).

Alliance is a good choice if fairness and morality are something you are interested in. *wink wink nudge nudge*

Grind 500 millions more.

Then build a 1 billion PvP Anaconda.

Die few times, and back to grind that 500 millions more. Rinse and Repeat.

Elite PvP is so cool!

Congrats first :D. for me when i hit Elite trade i needed a bit of excitement so Combat was first on my list, then topping up Ranks/missions, i left Exploring till i felt like another change, as for your credits so much fun building role specific ships be it a mission Python, rare Trade Asp or a BH Vulture for example.

How many millions of CR to get Elite? Just wondered how many more years I need to grind.:D Did you use the early days rare goods exploit to get to Elite? Just wondered how many more years I need to grind.:D

I got into the game the 10th of Jan this year, so no early exploits for me. Anywho I have earned 1 bill through trading, a bit from mining and a bit from smuggling.
A good aim when you get to the Conda is 10-20m on a work day, 40-50m on a day off and 60-70m if you feel like burning yourself out a bit. A good tip is to get a second monitor and watch something while you trade.

or, if you don't mind powerplay, attach yourself to minor faction, (or join the mercs of mikunn, and push your faction to a three system empire.

In that case congratulations commander (Right on commander). I have a Type 9 and a very easy route that allows me to do 6 round trips per hour and net 5 Million per Hour. I think I am going up rank at about 2% per hour. So about 20 hours to next rank. I do break every few hours to take a multi role Python out. I would suggest kitting out a Python and try some exploration/salvage/smuggling. Can be great fun.

Python is good. PVE-Combat Conda is better.

OP, put your money in your ship (keeping enough for several times insurance) and start hunting. I did Elite Trading first and then Elite Combat.
As the Conda might get boring, switch to FDL or Python from time to time. Enjoy your money and use it for the next target.

Another one, join a power, put in 150 million into fast tracking to rating 5 and use the rating 5 perks to earn back (and much more) the invested money. In order to get sufficient money back, you have to choose your power wisely (+100% Bounty payout works nice).
