best vulture hardpoints?

I use a C3 fix pulse + C3 gimballed pulse. Mainly use the gimballed until I get a straight shoot for the fixed (then both at the same time) or the oponents starts using chaff. 2 fixed could be a bit annoying against small targets and for hitting sub-modules.

Correct me if I am wrong but there is no C3 Pulse lasers for the Vulture??

In CQC my pips are 3sys and 3weps
I can fire that C3 beam non stop.
Well minor cool downs fit in naturally.

1 C3 gimballed beam laser, 1 C2 gimballed pulse laser. With four pips to weapons, you can fire the pulse laser nonstop while the capacitor recharges and you can unleash the beam laser again.

Is there really a good DPS difference between c3 gimballed Pulse/Burst/Beam? Let's assume you've got full power to weapons and you're firing non-stop.

2x fixed c3 beams. A lot of damage quickly. I find as I re ordinate my self to the target they would have recharged. plus getting the beams to stay on the target is great fun!

Well I go with 2x C3 gimballed pulse lasers - they do the trick nicely and I can keep firing almost non stop with 4 pips in weapons. I believe pulses have better armor penetration and I've had no issues taking out the larger ships, pythons, clippers, Fed dropships etc... also no need to rearm which means more combat time in the RES for me, time = money

I had 2x C3 burst lasers which was better for the smaller ships but not as efficient at the big ships....

.
That was the setup I originally had on my Vulture. The Beam took down any shield quickly, then up close and personal and let rip with a few rounds from the Cannon. As for running out of ammo, as I only used the Cannon when I could reasonably guarantee a hit - for example, very rarely used it on smaller ships - I found the ammo would run out about the time I needed to head back to cash in bounties or take a break.
.
Eventually got bored with that setup, wanted a little more of a challenge so I switched to twin gimballed pulse lasers. Not as much fun, as I loved the sound of the cannon and the thud it would make.
.
As others have said, the big secret with the Vulture is power management, spent many hours on Corolios.io trying different combinations of modules until I could get a setup that gave me 99.9% power usage when deployed.

Right on that about Coriolis.io. I have multiple variations of every ship on there, but I've made many versions of the vulture. The power management is shifty thing to handle depending on your configuration.

Big Plasma Accelerators are very fun to fly with, they also look and sound amazing.
A bit like the Eagle with 3 Rails, not very lasting and quite demanding as a pilot but man, the feels..the feels.

If you're more on the camp of the typical how do I "gain" as much as fast as possible:

I guess you do what everyone else does - load up on Pulse or beam lasers, target the power plant & rake in kills while you slip into a coma.. And some have the cheek to say trading is mind numbing.

I've gone for a setup that intentionally goes over 100% when deployed - and used the power priorities to shut down the fuel scoop, cargo scoop, etc - Those modules which have no use in combat with weapons out.
I could probably shift the FSD into a lower priority also, to squeeze a little more power out for when I'm firing.
Just had a look at coriolis.io - It looks like I could squeeze an E class booster in as well and *just* come under 100% when deployed when the nonessentials power down.
Another tempting option is to drop the sensors to D class and fit a B shield booster instead

Currently I am set up like http://coriolis.io/outfit/vulture/04A5A4A3D5A4A3C151o0n---4a032of169.Iw19kA==.EwBj-BGCVSg=?bn=Phil

Yeah, chuck on 2 x C3 gb beams and you'll find Driver's right. Zzz...
