Mahon emergency - contien successfully undermined, ltt 5964 under serious threat

Yes, the all CAPS is necessary, because it will puck us over big time.

Contien will cost us 213 CC, LTT 5964 will cost us 178 CC.

We have 3 hours to complete the fortifications!

Yep, we need all the help we can get fortifying those two systems. So for any Mahon-pledged commanders out there not already busy, get into gear ;) Basically, someone pulled the "save up a ton of undermining merits and turn them in as the cycle is about to end" trick to avoid giving much warning, and we have only hours to counter it.

The Emperor hereby notes his extreme disapproval and displeasure of this entire thread.

All Hail the Emperor
Bask in his Greatness
And here one would have thought that the Empire would frown upon the most-likely-Federation efforts (given the location), rather than the Alliance's ;)

Oh, reddit stuff, fair enough. I'd assumed you were roleplaying, the way you worded that post, and in-universe, the Feds and the Imps are far more at each other's throats than the Alliance and the Empire.

Actually, we did this in the last 10 hours with 8 people, and we got HIP 80242 and Marasing as well. Should have dealt with us diplomatically when you had the chance.

Love,

"reddit stuff" is basically showing Mahon players have attacked us in three separate systems.

Well, you peeked my curiosity, so I took a look.

Hariongori: 19% undermined.
Ehecatl: 21% undermined.
Chimiri: 7% undermined.

That's... not really very well organized if you consider that an attack. In fact, less than 20 of Mahon's 45 systems would count as -not- being under attack by that metric. In fact, only two of Torval's systems have met their undermining trigger - neither is near Mahon space.

[Edit] Look at what Cmdr. Obtuse and his friends have apparently wrought in the last 10 hours - THAT is what an attack looks like. Hats off to that, by the way, well played. Even if I never did anything against either of your powers ;) (And don't mistake 'reddit stuff' for the majority of the Alliance's pilots, either)

We had a slight misunderstanding with a group of Alliance pilots that decided to sidestep diplomacy so we had to take matters into our own hands. The Federation wants a non aggression pact with the Alliance, and unfortunately this group decided to derail the effort and our hand was forced. We still wish for peace and are open to talks, for we do not see the Alliance as an enemy, and wish to focus our efforts on our true enemy.....The Empire!

Have you actually been attacked, though? I mean seriously, not like single pilots here and there like the supposed 'attacks' on Torval. I'm not a member of any of the major groups, so not privy to any actions of theirs.

I'm not going to drag the subreddit drama here, but i'd suggest checking the posts.

That's the thing though - I don't want to :p I do my best to stay far away from reddit drama. Life's too short. I just keep the Mahon one on subscribe since I'm pledged to him and it's the fastest way of seeing which systems need fortification, given the horrible-ness of the in-game UI. Point taken though, I suppose it doesn't really matter in the end anyway.
