There's an awful lot of speculation here. Before people gab their pitchforks just consider that no one outside of FD and Sara knows the whole story. Also, attributing malice in this situation is very presumptuous.

I agree with your post, however with FD not being so forthcoming with details, we are left to work with what we have, which isn't much short of Sarah's tweets. So unless FD wants to chime in at this point, all we are to do is speculate.

I am sorry, I don't post very often, but this is just wrong. Someone as dedicated, personable, professional, responsive and witty as SJA should not be muzzled, if that is indeed what has happened, as to all outward appearances seems to be the case.

You would think they should learn their lesson about getting out in front of these things rather than let the community wildly speculate. But they never do, do they.
we will get an update, like pp. Broken, not tested, bugs reported by the beta testers not fix....FD style. I just wait for SC and move one.

SJA has been great communicating with the community. Her AI work seems to be on the money But worst of all she is popular amongst the community.
I hope she has not said the wrong thing and had her wings clipped. I hope it is a promotion of sorts.
I would be most dissapointed if it was punishment for being too popular....

This might be a serious option for her at this point. She'll have literally thousands of potential referees for her future employer to contact to give opinions on her dedication, effort and results were she to do so.

And how come everyone thinks she's the single greatest dev from FD? Just because she's very responsive on the forums? You're an easy bunch to please then..
Don't get me wrong, she seems like a very nice girl with a lot of passion for what she does, but sometimes the overreacting here is toebending. Perhaps she's moving on to more important things. ("but improving AI is the most important thing!" I heard someone say. Well I thought she was the best dev. But the AI desperately needs improvement? Now which one is it?)
Perhaps there are internal tensions. Who knows. I do know I don't have nearly enough information -nor should I- to make any kind of statement about what's going on behind the screens.
All I can say is I wish her the best.

Every line of code is a brush stroke ... yeah I feel for Sarah.

Normaly I would get angry for the SC mention , but... yeah I am torn if elite is the game I was looking for... I hope things get better soon
As someone who just recently got the game (<1 month in) and having been a forum lurker since then, I just want to chime in with some support for SJA. Her forum posts were always on point and interesting. The community as a whole will be lessened by her social absence. Having said that, I wish her the best on her new project and hope that the change of focus doesn't sour her enthusiasm. Not sure FD realizes how rare a talent it is to have a good coder who is also a good front socially for their company. o7 SJA o7
