Holy Crap I just lost it ALL

Never fly without insurance, bla bla bla. Live and learn. You'll get that Python much faster now.

It's a lot faster to make credits now than it was on release. I reset my save last week and made my first million in two evenings' play. You'll be back in a Python soon.

Bad luck, but take a breather and plot your revenge!

And although it may be shock, well done for handling it so well :)

Don't worry, rage will come with time.

OP: think about the pros; with the experience you have you will be one of the deadliest newbie-like commanders in the system.

Ha... I've been there in real life, I can handle it in a game LOL

Oh well, so much for trade relations and alliances, and blah blah blah. Time to go morally bancrupt and go straight up slave ship a while ;-)

Note: Surprised I got a decent jump range on the sidewinder

All of this has happened before, and all of this will happen again.

Always make sure to have enough to cover insurance. If you choose to fly without insurance, the fault for any loss is yours, and yours alone.

:D I got cocky. I had just taken down 3 ships at once, and was just about to drop out to outpost when I got interdicted and said "Screw it, you wanna fight, I'll fight", so I throttled down and he tore me up in about a minute flat! lol

Sorry to hear of your loss and I hope you recover quickly. +1 Rep for taking it so well.

The key is to not be concerned with getting back to a Python quickly but to just enjoy playing the game whilst you get back to where you were. The smaller ship are great fun (more so than the bigger ships) so enjoy those when you get them.

Not gonna lie, it's kinda fun. I got this sidewinder stripped down to nothing just to have 10 cargo spots, and I am riding DIRTY LOL
Grabbing a Viper soon as I drop off some weapons next star over ;-)

Hrm, you stated its much easier to earn credits now? How so imho it takes AGES :D

I have an ASP now, decently equipped. Iam using some trading tools and making approx 2500 credits profit per ton on each stop.

Tried mining, but the limpets died a lot.

Powerplaying seem to cost more money than it gives. I earned 101 merits now, but invested a lot of time.

On the side Ill try to take board - missions. If they earn me high rep or >40.000 creds.

Any other tricks I could try to make some money faster?

It happens to the best, and you will come back stronger.

You keep your ranks and status / alliances when you lose your ship, so you don't start over, you just lose the ship.

With the experience you already have, you will rise again much faster than the first time. Time to do some BB missions on one of those systems where you have a good rep.

Oh, and have a space beer on me, for taking it so well and not crying / whining / please ED give me my ship back like sore losers do.

Cheers, and fly safe CMDR!

Yes sir. A well planned Rarities route that goes covers over 150 lys to max profit......
note: I can't take credit for following, I just added a stop or two...

Start at Rajukru, go to hip 80364, then to 39 Tauri(sell from first 2, and grab the chimes), then George Pantazis, Altair, Vega, and back to Rajukru.

Learn what to bring to each along the way, you'll make about 1 million an hour over a three hour period if you do it right and swiftly.
