I believe it has be solvable since 1.2 according to FD (looking for the source) Painite is the only thing new in 1.2 if memory serves ? SAP 8 may well be clues ! But who knows

Yeah also it seems like the whole time it was called the SRV then they started calling it the Scarab. Should be interesting to see when they first started doing that and what was that in relation to.
It's always looked to me like it's designed to expand - although, from the look of how much 'give' there is in the shell-shaped section on the left, not by all that much.

On the stream with Edward Lewis which was posted last week, they were making a big deal about the Scarab's naming, making it seem important they referred to it correctly.
Though, it's probably simply that they kept inadvertently calling it "the buggy" then correcting themselves - so someone suggested 'do you not want it called the buggy because there is an actual buggy coming later?' Which resulted in silence and nervous laughter.
It's an odd thing. I wonder if it could be interpreted as being representative of a gathering of 4 ships heading to a location.

I think you are right about Horizons. My hunch is we can use these or some of the special items for crafting.
I had a lot to write about links between the items and I think I have found a possible recipe.
I really should write a separate post cos it links Raxxla, myths and all these new items all together.
It also points to Earth or Sol or the Federation or Dark Wheel as the places to find the next clue but its not exactly hard science
but it does confirm alot of what you guys are saying. I think we may be looking too far down the story line.

I did this test a few days ago with a free-floating UA (meaning 100% health forever). I turned everything off except sensors and life support in a DBE, went into silent running and spent around what seemed like 10 minutes before my heat approached 100%. I was at 500m from the UA. Nothing appeared or happened, unfortunately.
Read yesterday just must have not seen it.. just above comms test. OK sorry. Carry on.
