The Wiki mentions "Blatrimpe" I believe. I've been plotting the average of the coordinates of the UAs to try to find their "center of mass".

Interesting CMDR ! Have you been able to establish the average coordinates ? Another possible idea might be that these UAs have been stolen and once realised they are toxic, have been dumped within a certain radius area. Thus it is possible that they are trying to communicate their coordinates of their place of origin.

Alright, so according to the wiki the morse around Ross 154 (Merlin in FFE) still reads Merlin. Has anybody tried going to any other renamed planets to see if the morse still reads their original names?

Isn't Ross 154 the name of the star and Merlin the name of the planet orbiting the gas giant Aster? That's how it was in Frontier was this changed in ED?

If it's still the same the UA is giving you the planet name not the star.

I didn't see it in the wiki, so I'll ask again.

Can you attach a prospector limpet to it?

I'm guessing no, but my thinking is that this represents a rudimentary way to get some idea of its composition perhaps?

You may be right. I can't really go in-game to check, but that would make sense.

I'm pleased to be able to report that after hanging around HR 1185 for a couple of days, I have taken possession of the UA "Uri". It was found floating by itself at 16:15 today in a SSS 0.11 Ls from HR 1185 B.

Congrats Commander.
As a token of appreciation from the community, please accept the upgrade of your onboard lavatory, which includes a superb hitech seat for those long journeys. The teflon-platinum coated toilet seats is a guarantee for repelling those pesky alien critters.
Please take notice that we're not longer allowed to share our rare stock of "NGobe Secretum Charta", instead we've taken the liberty to supply you with a one year consumption of tinfoil hats.

We do hope you appreciate our small token of gratitude.

Sincerely, Commander John Stoutbeard

PS: the wifi model was not available at the time of installation.
And welcome to the club. o7

Maybe we're being too literal.

Everything is the same, expect that Merlin has been teraformed and Aster has lost it's ring.

That one's easy. It's an imprint from a seashell tea infuser or spoon. You know, to go with the biscuits.

Or maybe a stylized ginkgo biloba leaf. Either way, definitely something to do with tea and biscuits.

Find of the day. Great work :)

Ok I seem to have been away longer than I thought, could be time dilation or Alzheimer's but I'm guessing I just nodded off. So thread the third and 25 pages all ready?

Ok not going to reiterate my favourite theory about whatever it was, but just asking where is the UA hunting focus is at present. I am near Timocani but if the UA are found unaccompanied elsewhere, is that location preferred? Sorry just trying to get back up to speed as the threads grow quicker than I can comprehend them.
