It could be that FD are making them appear there as a hint. I really think someone should fly into a black hole with one. Make sure it's recorded so we can laugh when it goes wrong.
Indeed. The purpose of the morse code seems to be to show us that they are aware of what our names for the stellar bodies are. Or perhaps behave as nav beacons for us. The only part of its behavior we seem to have been able to really confirm is the transmitting of the morse code of the nearest stellar body, which is exactly the same thing as our nav beacons do.
Perhaps they are some kind of nav beacons, and if made by aliens the morse code was implemented because they thought it would help it interface with our nav systems somehow.
Maybe the rest of the noises is what some other space civilization have their equivalent to nav beacons transmit? It is attempting to transmit the stellar body ID in both (or even several) languages, as some kind of translator?
Can you give a link to the message? What is interesting is the system it is in and the region.
If we can find some commonality between this location and HR 1185, we can start to make a theory where else we would expect a UA to float in the wild. Then we have something we can actually test.

It's also linked to Mars. Only real solid info that relates to ED that i see atm.
Pentagram in a circle I believe is something to do with protecting yourself.
It has much deeper knowledge and it's positive.
It is a prime number 5.

In the original lore the Thargoids were suspected of having a spaceship disguised as a planet.
I even think Lave moon was suggested or something.
That lore isn't canon anymore but it could still be implemented, (I would have thought only in background lore).

Wasn't the Thargoid Mothership an Octagon, and the thargons (remote ships) distended pentagons?
Did anyone tried to listen to listen to the UA morse message in a system that has no nav beacon?

Thread is here, but the post mentioning the black hole & location have been moderated for some reason, so it doesn't help much.
Edit - actually, having read the message pre-moderation, I think it's just a wind-up on the part of the OP. Using UA bait to get people to experience a weird crashing bug in the game. Probably safe to ignore!

That test has been done, I believe. As has destroying the nav beacon and replacing it with the UA
Guys, been thinking, I am no big fan of the thories regarding the UA having something to do with ancient religions but, IF it is related to Raxxla, maybe this crazy idea I had is worth posting.

What if... Raxxla is Asgard? The gates between worlds would be the bifrost (was it called that way?).

Listening to the 20 minutes mp3 there's a big drop off in the number of noises(purrs?) that were thought to be binary (it seems to me). Which makes me think they might be counting down or maybe (and possibly more likely) the closer the UA is to a certain system/object/thing the fewer purrs there are (or vice versa).
Can anyone lend me a UA?

There are a lot being found in HR 1185, 8+ sightings in the last 3 days. I think there are about 6 or so currently in the possession of commanders.
