Ship Builds & Load Outs My new Python

Being an impatient person I have in the past traded up my ship for one I could not really afford and subsequently lost it (with no insurance). It was a hard lesson, but one I learned well. This time round I was determined not to make the same mistake again. A while ago I found I had enough money to buy a Python (my dream ship), but not enough to equip it. I bought it anyway, but this time I put it in the hanger and left it there. Back in to the Vulture for me, and off to make a bit more money.

Gradually I built her up, adding bits and pieces here and there. I have just had a very profitable couple of weeks so have at last managed add the last bits of equipment I needed. It has taken me 2 months but now I have:

A7 power plant
A6 Thrusters
A6 Shield generator
A7 Power distributor
A6 Sensors
2 x Chaff launchers
A5 FSD
2x class 3 pulse lasers
Class 3 pulse laser turret
2x class 2 rail guns

...a few other bits and pieces and of course ENOUGH MONEY FOR THE INSURANCE :)

I was at last confident enough to take her in to combat. I flew off and dropped in to a CZ. Loved the weaponry and loved the way the shields held up, but the manoeuvring took some getting used to. I did get used to it though and once I had modified my tactics I soon got in to the swing of things. I am sure there will be some tasks I will swap back to the Vulture for, but from now on I think the python will be my main ship.

Next time I see you guys out there it will be in my beloved 'ARCS Epiphany Rising' :D

Congatulations !!

I am a new Python owner myself (Well, 2 weeks now). It is "A" specced, and a thing of Beauty.

See you in the Black, commander!

OP, you going to go combat trader with that build or put in some SCBs for legendary stamina?
What will you do with the extra internal slots on that bad boy?

Also, does the Python only have 2 utility slots or are there more, and you just left them empty for the time being?

Congrats. I've had my Python for a while now but it sure feels good when you can almost get it fitted out with A class modules.

4 utility slots. Not decided how I'm going to fill the rest of the space yet though.

We really should have a Proud Owner Of Python Social Club sub forum (POOPSCL for short).

I'd join :D

I'm a gnat's pubic hair away from getting mine. I've got the cash, but not quite enough to B'spec it and cover in-sewer-ants as well. So.... a few more days to go.

Grinding and grinding over and over again in my T9 (I hate that ship but boy does it make me a lot of money) to be able to afford a decently kitted Python and still keep the T9 for making dough. Just about, oh, $70 million away.

I bought 1 in the 1.4 beta but couldn't spec it out very well. Someone do me the honour and sort that out, along with where to kit it out as Hyroks doesn't have all the bloody kit to do so (its where I currently call Home). And it took me ages to find where to sort out my Vulture which I ended up borking by trying different weapon configs and failing miserably, then realising the weapons I had been using in the first place were a Brazilian times better than what I tried out and the Orbital I was in didn't have the relevant kit and to top it off, I couldn't remember where I got kitted out in the first place.
I shouted at my monitor and walked away .

Congratulations! Its such an awesome feeling, when you get your desired ship and the intended equipment together.

Just finished equipping my Asp and went out on my first exploration tour beyond 1.000 ly of the bubble, currently roaming the void in the area of the Orion Nebula. Achieving a personal ingame goal is so much more rewarding than just getting displayed some numbers. And its not the first time, that i thought about getting a Python... :)

Try Diaguandri for outfitting and Lembava for the ship itself close to each other in Li Yong Rui controlled territory. This gives you 15% discount.
To OP. I assume you got your Python and outfitting in Li Yong Rui territory?

I can proudly say I have got my Python up to A class now and I have even just fitted A6 prismatic shields for the win. I even bought the skins. It's a great ship and looks great too.

COngrats on your new toy :)
Wish I had enough money for 7A PP... it's 7C for now, but everything else is A (except sensors and LS, which are D).
