Module swapping gone?

It used to be possible to remove a module from one ship, change to another ship in the same station and rebuy that module. It seems to be that this does not happen any more, you sell the module change ship and the module is gone.

yeah noticed this aswell,i have lost my pack hound racks that i was keeping in storage, sold them, swapped ships, went to put them back on....they had vanished.
worked fine last week.

They seem to be on a mission to eradicate anything that makes this game fun to play. Ooh, people are makiing too much money on community goals, let's make it impossible to finish them and make the rewards miserable. Ooh, hang on, people are storing modules. Quick, let's put a stop to that.

Is this beta or main branch? If main it must be a bug as there has been no update for weeks. If its intended then its the death knell for PP (for what life is left in it).

oh, if they fixed that, someone should check what happens when you die with the faction-gear that you have gained access to from your former power.

Yes and confirmed by support. Goodbye Prismatic shield. Thanks a lot for a sneaky change.
Wow are u serious??
So instead of listening to players needs to store modules they have gone and eliminated the possibility completely in a stealth "fix"?
WTH

I noticed this last night.

Another FD stealth nerf. Who knows? maybe they actually meant to do this or it's a result of "emergency maintenance."

I don't care either way, but a change like this should have been announced before implementation.

Oh, well. just a few hops to Jameson...

Sucks if you don't have a permit.

Don't you just love how FD sucks you in to investing weeks/months of time and effort into something and then decides to pull the rug out from under you making you feel like you've been had and the joke was on you?

Great PR FD !

So glad I ignored the whole PP stuff.

I wanted to move my Prism shield from Сonda to Imperial Clipper and happened! Doesn't paying any attention for 10 minutes rule it's just disappeared!
After that I asked for support service if they could help me and bring my shield back. Usually they bring back whole ships for newbies who crashed into a station wall, so I thought it wouldn't be difficult for them to do the same for me.
Soooo... as you might understand they didn't...

OK i admit losing the shiny power play toys after you defect the power it's not cool. On the other hand, for me at least, it feels somehow wrong to join a faction only for some module; personally i do this for fun not to grind some new pixel toy.
The worst thing is we don't have some personal/rented storage on stations. Maybe if FD will implement storage and if you defect from a power, every time you enter in a station controlled by the that power you will be scanned for illegal weapons/modules.

It just doesn't matter when the game designers reserve the right to unilaterally change core behaviors without any notice to players. I never engaged in Power Play simply because too many things were either vaguely explained or unclear and subsequent observation has only confirmed that I made what was the right choice for me.

The fact remains that players can't trust FD when it comes to sudden game changes without notice at any time that can negate months of work based on the premise that they understood what was previously accepted as properly working in game mechanics.

You have to approach ED with this understanding if you want to avoid rage quit reactions.
