General / Off-Topic Elite Bikers Rides

After fishing out mummified mice from the airbox, an oil change, new pads and fluid, rejetting, sprockets and chain, full carb rebuild and sync, new front tyre (old one had under 500 miles and an unfindable slow leak) I finally managed to get the old girl out for one (or hopefully quite a few!) last blast before the weather starts to turn here. Also decided to slap a new Yoshi on it for lulz.

She'll do another year or two, but time for something new methinks. I know she's a heap, but she's my heap - and many years of good fun with her :)

Hey AspEX, what you got your eye on if you are going to change?

I'd love an R6, but as the GF sometimes borrows my bike that may not be the best idea - she's used to a 250 and my 750 is tame enough at low revs to not be a problem, although it's still a bit heavy for her. BMW have some nice sports tourers I've looked at, I must be turning into an old man :)

Yeah, new RS is nice but the price is well salty and then you need to add all the bits you want on top again.

A ton of choice out there these days though.

You expat?

So I'm guessing that a many of the Elite players are going to be at least as old as me.

So hopefully some of you will have some interesting motorcycles as rides.

Please post up your weapons

Come to the Ramblers Rest in Chislehurst on a Thursday

BMW? As far as I know from friends they have a bad habit of failing parts here and there. Beautiful machines though...
I stick to Japan.

GoPro is fun, but even with the extended battery the duration is poor. I'm about halfway on my way back from Indianapolis, and battery is already dead :(

a mate of mine plugs his into the bike

That works (I have USB power ports on the bike) but then the cables come out at speed and fly about everywhere - I've lost a couple that way lol, and it doesn't do the socket on the camera any good. Also not nice in the rain, plenty of that where I live lol

Your right Asp the battery life is horrendous, I'm not a fan of wires all over so i just have a few spare batteries in the boot and change when required
