A video is worth 24 pictures a second.
I didn't play much over the w/e so the grabs and vids I did get weren't great.

The Winners are ....
For screencap entry -

It was really hard picking the screen cap/photo entry as there were so many amazing entries to choose from. Ultimately we went for this one as it was quite different from anything else we have seen before; not only in the competition but from anything we've produced ourselves. I also felt it captured the importance of stealth and remaining hidden in game as well as making one of our signature ships just look plain old cool in the darkness of space.

Once again, fantastic entries to choose from, this one grabbed my attention early on, it's simply mesmerising. Whilst the music itself wasn't user created, the editing of the video to match the tone of what you hear is spot on, and culminates in a visual and aural expereince which really grasps at the wonder of space using simple Alpha game play material. Absolutely fantastic.
I also want to say a quick thanks to all those that entered, there really were some amazing entries, you guys surpassed our expectations and I'm looking forward to seeing what you guys cook up for the next competition. Which shouldn't be far off, so keep your eyes peeled.
p.s. For those that just missed the deadline, I can safely say that there'll be similar competitions to this in the near future

Hi, what you need to do is use the head-look functionality and just look straight up (check the settings in the Controls options in-game on which keys/buttons are used for this).
To everyone else, especially the judging panel, thank you very much for choosing my picture I am suitably humbled (and surprised) to find out I've won as there have been loads of really excellent pictures out there.
I'd like to thank the judging panel for picking my picture from the many excellent pictures out there; it has brightened what has been a pretty hellish week for me... app development isn't always fun
