Is there a point to the server status on the launcher? It's currently blithely declaring that the server is "OK" while the game itself claims it's unable to contact to Frontier servers.

Got 'logging in' then, the game failed to communicate with authentication server, check your internet connection and try again in a few minutes.
My internet connection is fine.

Is there a point to the server status on the launcher?

i get the feeling that it's static, i.e. it checks the status once when the launcher starts up, but doesn't keep track of any changes in status that occur later. have to restart the launcher to see its true state.

I imagine that it's completely shocking that they'd have high load on a patch day. If only there was a way to foresee such things and adjust appropriately.

Annnnd looks like a few issues have crept back in.

The team are looking into it. It appears to be load issues so some people may be struggling to get in game. We'll keep

• Logging in worked only 2 of 5 times
• i got thrown out twice "cannot connect to transaction server"
• bulletin board does not load "cannot get up to date mission list from server

Now Launcher says Servers are up, but the game cannot log in because it cannot connect to ED servers.

Don't know why it is always such a fiasco on update days. It just is. Oh well, pizza is nearly cooked.
