So Bluedrake42 made a lenghty rant on SC, but it's definitely on the "Pro-CIG" side here. The first section of the video is dedicated to Derek Smart and his own past games, which are mostly really bad. I think that's a given. There's some slight criticism coming to light ("Maybe they're not the best development team, and maybe they shouldn't have the amount of money they got"), but then his only reaction is "Who cares".

Yes maybe they are misusing money, BUT WHO CARES.
They'll probably release a game in the end, but even if they don't and they take the money and run, WHO CARES. (14:15 in the video)
He's also mistaking the concept of crowdfunding with regular profit (20:00 in the video). But then again the entire concept of backer funds has been muddled to the point everybody just sees it i

It has a ton of upvotes, he "feels like" having a lot of experience but he's not saying much to the actual points besides "I dunno" and "who cares". I was hoping for a more concise rebuttal. This isn't one.

Yes, i've seen that one... Found it really funny... I will never understand how a person could make a 37-minute defence video without any arguments other than "who cares", "who knows" and "Hey, it could be worse"... :D

The message he was trying to get across was "we either win or we die, given those options, we choose; victory", right?

With the Citizen Con free fly code, I have finally gotten a chance to fly in AC, the Gamescom code lasted long enough to DL only...

First impression is it is an interesting if different flight model, took a while to get a hang of it with m/kb, would be interested to see how HOTAS goes.
Need to fly it more to really say, but doesnt seem that bad
Mainly tried Vangual Swarm co-op
The weapons feel anemic, the green "lasers cannons" the Aurora MR has has a range of about 800 meters according to the shot lead indicator.
The Target pointer when off screen makes you use that rather than the radar which is a shame

That is a very obscure subforum. Won't get much comments there unless it's moved over to general. Not sure if it has been moved by mods or if it started there.

It also doesn't help that it was posted by a guy completely new to the forums (1 post/registered 12oct2015). Some will probably even say it's Derek Smart himself! :D

@AllenStround - good article!

Personally, I've paid into the game, so yes I'm invested in it. I am not happy at the moment with the state of things, but all I can really do is keep my fingers crossed that CIG pull it out of the bag.
