OMG! You can make 20+Mil Cr per Hour, if you didn't realise.

Mode jumping maximize the profit by 100 %.

Keep doing it until your haul is full. If I only sit in OPEN or SOLO I can't get the same mission output.

Its 100% legit and approved by FD.

But also bear in mind that you can now get scanned at Outposts when sitting on the landing pad.

You need to enter the hanger to avoid the scans.

This was news to me until it happened twice

I always enter hanger as soon as I land, regardless of station type, and then immediately click on Starport Services (or w/e it's called) to take care of business.
I don't want to risk my shields being down during module reconfiguration and losing cargo to a pirate in the station. Dunno if it's possible for that to occur without the pirate being attacked by the station, but it's something *I've* thought of, and I know I've seen ships unshielded sitting on the pad before...

EDIT: And don't forget about ships that cause a ruckus in the station by attacking someone, not landing/leaving fast enough, etc. I often come out of hangar to find some ship wreckage floating about...

There's no way FD will leave it how it is right now. Sooner or later a nerf will strike, just a matter of time.

Yeah, it's no different to when rares where introduced before release, and people made 500mil before they got nurfed, same old same old...

also the fact that the missions take you in a neat one direction basically, also helps. Imagine if they were in opposite directions.

Not if you're trying to untangle yourself from the toast rack following a ballsed up fast-dock when they scan you ... what you need there is bolt cutters!

Haha......

Certainly know where you're coming from with that. Have had the misfortune of doing this myself in my Type 9, didn't line up with the station on approach and thought making a 90 degree turn would be a piece of cake. Needless to say it wasn't and it all got very messy when I had to throttle back and overlooked the fact the Docking Computer would kick in during all this. Managed to survive but got slapped a nice hefty fine for the cargo.

I hope so, the payment is ok, its the mode jumping to force the BGS to generate missions that are broken.
If they make it so that you will get the same mission no matter what mode you're in, then they have blocked the hole. The payment level is ok as it is.

I actually enjoy every phase of this run.

Trip to Sothis in my ASP last ~20min, also I like sometimes to leave the ship there before the session start.
Gambling with mission system is also fun, as I usually do something else for that hour or two. I am enterpreneur rank, and I am only accepting 4-6m missions.
When I get full 80 cargo hold, fun time starts! All the interdictions, messages, chase... haven't had so much fun for quite some time in ED. I usually destroy some easier interdiction single targets for more fun and change of pace.
I usually get 10-14 missions depending on quantity, and that last some time to be delivered. Usually around 1:30h-2:00h is only delivery phase.
So in total, I get like 40-60m in one run that last around 4h. It is actually not that crazy amount until you have highest trade ranks, and that is why I think it is as good as it is.

I would guess they'll just make those high payout missions very rare instead of messing with the BB. We'll see.

My guess is they'll fix the BB. They've been talking about making ranking taking longer and so on. If they fix the BB, everything that revolves around it will become quite a bit slower. It'll probably reduce the server workload as well.

Between the smuggling exploit and cqc, the open world is pretty empty at the moment (apart from Sothis space station). I jumped on the bandwagon like the rest of these asps but it dawned on me that this will ruin the economy - Many of Elite's narratives are driven by economy - if this carries on, there will be 2000 + new battle condas on the space ways next week - lets hope people are responsible with them.

Economy has been beyond repair for months. You're not doing anything but forcing FD to fix it by smuggling right now.

Except they won't fix the economy, they'll just band-aid smuggling and patch in higher incomes with 1.5 as a "solution".

Sure, maybe so, but when earnings jump from 50 million per week through undermining, 4-6 million per hour through trading, to a stunning 20 - 30 million per hour for...switching between modes to get big bounty missions, you've got to ask yourself what effect it has - As Kevin Bacon might say, it's a NO BRAINER.
