Powerplay Operation Wagar - The Undermining of Kamito

The lesser of two evils.

I've not been a fan of the Feds since that Onionhead debacle went down. Who are they to tell me what I can or can't do.

I have never taken Onionhead and I've never felt the need to try it. I don't see the Federation's banning of the substance a violation of my own civil liberties. If I was to fight it would be to help out others whose liberty I felt was being curtailed.

So who should I help out?

The Federation, who are undermining people's freedoms to prevent them harming themselves by taking drugs?

The Empire, who legally buy, sell and abuse people on a daily basis?

I'm not a big fan of the Federation. I'm not a big fan of the power their mega-corps wield, and crippling poverty these faceless organisations cause. No wonder so many of their citizens feel the need to escape their reality through the use of powerful pharmaceuticals. But for the free galaxy to stand against the barbaric practice of slavery, then I guess sometimes we just have to side with the lesser of two evils.

Maybe you should try the childrenofraxxla.com faction. I hear their leader is quite the character.

Cheers,

Drew.

You've got to hate Zemina and Patreus. Look at all the damage they've done!:(

Our KoS list grows ... need more guns to blow'em up all at once. Hurry Core Dynamics with the production of the Federal Corvette! For the Federation! o7

What good will your effete Federal Corvette do against our infinitely superior Imperial Cutter?

It might provide us with some easy target practice, I suppose. My spies at Core Dynamics inform me that it is by far the ugliest ship made by that manufacturer so far, which is famous only for its hideously ugly ships.

Never willing to pass up the chance of blasting Federal pilots into oblivion, I will be making my stately progress to Kamito in due course. Meanwhile, there has been some small rebellion in my home systems which requires my immediate attention; something to do with punitive taxation, and my quite reasonable suggestion regarding the reinstitution of droit du seigneur. Slaves can be so ungrateful.

Felicitously,

Count Tomsk the 192nd of Xi Hara; Viscount of Lumastya; Baron of Marrallang; Lord of Cernobog.

Which group are you with anyways?

That's the thing. We are no group. We are inofficial, leaving us immune against any kind of diplomatic trouble. We can do and shoot whatever we like. But hey, we are federal pilots, means that enemies of the Federation are our enemies. :) Plus everything we like or don't. It is something like a hybrid of Federation and independent.

Sure, Cutter you say? 2 Huge hardpoints palced on the wings with approximately 500m of a giant gap in between? :D
So far, the Clipper always lost against my Assault ship ;)

The Federal Assault ship has merit, I'll admit, albeit as the bluntest and most crude of weapons. My minions will be acquiring a specimen in due to course, to form part of my collection. Ahem.

Don't be so sure about hard point placements on the Cutter, my dear Crimson, you may be in for a nasty shock...

Yours etc.

We will see ... after I am finished with protecting KAUSHPOOS with federal justice. You could either fight the law and order, o help fighting criminals in KAUSHPOOS. Your choice ;)

On this we can agree, and I will stand shoulder to shoulder with you against the vile pirates and criminal scum who are plaguing Kaushpoos.

I trust you will not object to my harvesting their escape pods? I run an intensive 'rehabilitation' centre in Cernobog. It is startling how subservient they become, after spending a few weeks with my inquisitors....

Yours etc.

We are talking about minor factions, not PowerPlay. Sorry if that was not clear originally. Please move this back to Dangerous Discussion.:)

What is this *power play* of which you speak? And why has this discussion been shifted? My slaves have been thoroughly whipped as a result of the confusion.

The blue bloods of the Empire do not take note of such fly by night politicians. We only take pleasure in smashing the Federation, whatever guise they take.

Minor factions? Fiddlesticks! They are merely bit players in the greater galactic saga.

Yours etc.

I don't really see a problem with that claim. They could be fed backed. All I know or care about is they aren't Imperial. :D

For all I know Operation Wagar is a secret Alliance operation to increase tensions between the Empire and the Federation. If you want to be the puppet of an Alliance agent provocateur - fine. I see no honor in doing so.

Using made up claims is cheap. Doing so while it's obvious that there is no involvement form the Federation is not very wise. The next time such a claim is made a lot of imperial CMDRs will just think it's again a false alarm. I think there is a story about a kid and a wolf that describes the problem.

Since it never got published anyway, what's the harm?

Oh, and some help from a mysterious benefactor that wished to remain anonymous:
An Anonymous Benefactor said:
Sadly the back ground simulation is broken and has been for weeks so you cant get stuck in to action right away.

Make as much cash with your friends and get the biggest guns you can and move in to the system as a base. Then keep grinding cash until the background simulation is fixed.

Once it's fixed kill every single person in the system that is an enemy starting with the system security. Dont bounty hunt in the system you want to take over.

Eventually security wont be able to handle the pirates and civil war will break out. Fight on the side of the pirates until they win control of the system. Then do lots of mission for the faction you actually support. At this point the pirates will only have a small hold on the system and you can bring your favoured faction quickly up in influence to take over, without fear of your enemy faction returning because they will be broken from the first war. The result will be a system with few weak pirates and your enemy faction utterly crippled. Once your faction is in control you can start bounty hunting the pirates again.

I've done the above three times when the background sim was working and it it worked for me.
