Oh boy, oh boy oh boy...

*Over excited giggle*

Professional moderator is professional as always. :D

I've been waiting 15 years to do a planetary landing again since FFE. can't wait to experience it again.

Thanks David, I know how hard your staff are working on this.

Thank you for the update. Hearing about even better quality, 64 bit and more advanced technology usage doesnt ease the wait, but it assures, that it will be worth it. Your efforts are greatly appreciated, but please dont push too hard - you people at FD are expected to survive and create assets for this great game for at least the coming 8 years ;)

Thumbs up to you and the team.

Hi David, thanks for the update. Given the issues around compute shaders and OS compatibility, I'd be interested to know if the minimum specifications have altered at all, and if the Beta is likely to work with SLI setups?

[I'm running SLI GT650M on a 'gaming' laptop that's a few years old, and I get really good SLI performance on ED (pretty much doubling framerates). I'm hoping that Horizons will scale just as well!]

I assume so, but I've not tested it personally.

Compute shaders seem to have been the main issue to delay Horizons in Mac. Any updates in this regard?

Thank you for the update - I've been really enjoying Beta 1.5 when I can squeeze it in around the Pleiades station CG's!

Best of luck to all at Frontier for Tuesday... I cannot wait to land on a planet. Got my first one all picked out. :)

And now, since you said you'd be answering questions, time for my standard idiotic completely-unrelated-to-the-thread current-obsession question:

Since materials will be stored in trace quantities per commander, and do not take cargo space, that suggests that a small fast SRV without cargo space might actually be useful! Are there any plans for a hoverbike SRV that uses the same tech as the skimmers? Perhaps smaller than the Scarab, and with no ability to carry cargo (but the awesome ability to look awesome, sound awesome and race awesomely)? :D

(Please feel no obligation to enable my obsession by actually answering my question) :)

It will be tight for Tuesday but hopefully we can still achieve this date. It is looking and feeling really good, but if we find another major issue before Tuesday, we’ll let you know.

Thank you David! Best of luck with the last bits and peaces! Exciting times ahead, can't wait... :)

This is so exciting thanks David. When can we expect landings on Earth like worlds? 1 year, 2 years, or more like 5 years? Thanks

No questions from me, just want to say thanks to you and all other devs for their hard work.
Seeing what I've seen so far of Horizons has made me confident that I made the right choice in purchasing the lifetime pass the first time around, I look forward to what else is to come in future season.
So thank you all, and keep up the amazing work!

Thank you for the exciting update!

Sorry if this is a tired old question, but I've not seen it asked before. If anyone has a link to a previous answer, I'd be happy to follow it and let Mr. Braben answer more pressing questions.

Suppose I purchase Horizons for my PC. Will I have access to the exclusive ships (Cobra IV) on my Mac?

Hopefully we can look forward to that sometime soon. :)

Best of luck for the final stretch of getting the beta ready; I hope the team are still going home every now and then... :p

Bookmarks in the Galaxy map would be a massive help.

Hope that at some point it gets implemented.

Great job by everyone on the team.
Very excited to experience all the additional things coming with 1.5 & 2.0.
Participating in the Beta has been a very positive and exciting time!
Thanks for all the hard work and the amazing vision.

Thank you David and all of Frontier for all the hard work! SOON I will have you bobbling along with me as a space traveling companion! I am very excited for the next season and all the rest.

Thanks David.

I agree with T.J I've waited 15years for this :)

Sure you cant push it out to the Alpha testers before the weekend? :D

Well hopefully the 4 ED players who are playing on a 32bit OS will now have the excuse they were looking for but that their wife would not allow them to upgrade their OS ;)

A lighter SRV (or whatever) is certainly possible...
