Powerplay Faction: Arissa Lavigny-Duval Dispatch from the Kamadhenu Herald - Cycle 26

Dispatch from the Kamadhenu Herald

26 November 3301

Logistics pilots pledged to the Emperor shifted a large amount of supplies in the last three days of the week, nearly fortifying every single profit-making system. Tiburnat, with its two lone outposts, did not get its supplies, and the newly installed cooperative government find themselves in turmoil.

Prime Minister Mahon once again comes out ahead of the leaders of humanity’s major factions. The Empire and the Federation took tumbles last week, though Hudson, Winters, Duval and Lavigny-Duval round out the top five. Arguably, both the President and the Emperor were looking forward to results like these. Shadow President Winters’s attempts to push Liberal Aide failed in two systems. The Brynhilo Network, a Federal corporation, succumbed to the efforts of the Kumo Crew. Senator Denton Patreus breaks even, with the revolt of 47 Ceti securing enough new influence for the Senator to deliver loans to systems this week.

Eight systems experienced mass criminal activity and are protesting recent decisions from the Emperor’s Kamadhenu based cotiere. Three of these systems find themselves with mass protests and demonstrations throughout the region. According to Research, these eight systems exemplify what many refer to as the wasting of the Emperor’s resources on sparsely populated systems scattered along the frontier.

TurmoilSystems.png

Due to the successful undermining of sparsely-populated sectors, all three successful crime sweeps have failed to establish a support base for the Emperor.

Current Diplomatic Status

According to sources close to the Emperor’s Kamadhenu-based councilors, she currently has an adhoc allied or neutral status with two power-brokers: Li Yong-Rui and Pranav Antal. Additionally, Senators Patreus and Torval, along with Aisling Duval, have supported and embraced our new Emperor as an ally. These are not Imperial decrees, but active diplomatic work on behalf of the Emperor's best interests has procured non-aggression pacts and otherwise beneficial arrangements.

Open hostilities exist between pilots pledged to Emperor Arissa Lavigny-Duval and those of President Hudson, Shadow President Winters, and the Kumo Crew.

Now that you know the lay of the land, what can a single pilot or group of pilots do about it?

For a quick look at Research’s suggested priorities, check the cycle priorities sheet.

Preparation

Tutorial can be found here.

Overview.png

Unfortunately, due to the deficit, there are no targets available for Lavigny-Duval loyalists to prepare.

Expansion

Tutorial can be found here.

There are no active crime sweeps this week, however, there are active security operations on our doorstep.

Opposition

Tutorial can be found here.

President Hudson is backing his private military contractors in HIP 44811, as system sitting directly between Ida Dhor and CD-49 3617. Success here would gut two of the largest concentrations of the Emperor’s support. Duke Colin Tatter calls for all pilots to assist in opposing these ‘security operations’ against the local corporation.

The Federal system of Brynhilo fell to the invasion forces of the Kumo Crew. Resistance Pockets are forming in Dhak, an Imperial system Delaine has already tried for once. This system is fairly near Sirius space, and 90 light years from Nyalayan, the closest Lavigny-Duval system.

Fortification

Tutorial can be found here.

Pilots pledged to the Lavigny-Duval Logistics Division once again delivered enough garrison supplies to meet the demands from local governors and patrons almost everywhere of note. Research is pleased with the unopposed undermining of the ‘deficit-causing’ systems. Sadly, however, one system above the line was left unfortified. Tiburnat’s lone outposts are hard on large haulage requirements, so if the cost of losing the deficit-causers is Tiburnat, so be it.

Only twenty systems read as fortified, but at least thirty-eight systems were saved from being undermined by the delivery of their full allotment of garrison supplies.

For a detailed look at fortification tasks this week, Research presents its fortification tracker sheet.

Undermining

Tutorial can be found here.

The three powers opposed to the Emperor’s political goals all experienced a large amount of resistance, with twenty-seven systems reaching an undermined status between them. This is in addition to the heavy fortification those powers achieved. Remember pilots, undermining a system over 100% does not help anyone’s cause.

Minor Factions

Many minor factions have pledged their loyalties to the Emperor’s personal fleet. Her many successes could not have been possible without their efforts. If your faction is not represented in reporting or strategy, please contact your nearest representative.

Last week saw combined action between Imperial groups pledged to multiple galactic powers. This week should hopefully see the same in HIP 44811.

Los Centinelas contribute to undermining efforts in systems loyal to hostile powers. Last week, their target was Shadow President Winters.

The White Templars, a group of space-faring knights pledged to Emperor’s personal fleet, consistently campaign against the Kumo Crew. Their stalwart actions have helped the Imperial cause in the Pegasi Sector and within the Federation's sphere of influence.

Lavigny's Legion: hosts of the Velite Squadron and the Carthage Auxiliary Corps, operate around the galaxy with little fanfare.

Other groups of Pilots' Federation commanders campaign throughout hostile territory. Some are fairly secretive in their activities, like Les Corsairs de l'Empire, the 9th Legion, and the Nova Fleet, yet others have not made their activities known to the Kamadhenu Herald.

The Kamadhenu Chapterhouse of Inquisition continues its campaign to support patrons and feudal lords under the purview of the Emperor’s Kamadhenu coterie. Due to exigent circumstances, The Chapterhouse Lantern is currently on a hiatus from publishing. If you see a loyal patron or feudal lord under attack, or in need of assistance, please contact the Kamadhenu Herald and the information should reach the Cycle Priorities sheet.

Interesting that you fail to mention any position at all with the Alliance. Not that anyone in the Alliance is under any doubt as to what your real position is, or where the lion's share of our undermining comes from. But interesting all the same.

We never cared about the Alliance, we don't share any border with you so why should we? As if we didn't have enough with the stinking feds.

Our pilots wont go all the way to your side of the populated bubble to undermine you without orders, and as you can see, there are no orders to do so. The only ones undermining you are your neighbors.

Hey, uhm ... can you send some commanders to PANCIENCES? My wingmate and me are getting bored each week and some PvP would be appreciated (but please not these runner Clippers ...).

Thanks! :D

Pancakes fell off our radar as a profit-making system, due to the Torval expansion into GL 606.1 B. You might want to head elsewhere for PvP. HIP 44811 is likely to be a hotbed this week.

And I'd hope everyone fortifies in runner Clippers, or maybe super-powered shielded Cutters soon enough.

Interesting that you fail to mention any position at all with the Alliance.

I used to have the Alliance on our books as "neutral" because every organised action was decried by our side as a bad decision, and unorganised action is always "rogue". We should be allies, as there is no good reason for us to be opposed to each other, so I left it as neutral, hoping for the best.

A few weeks ago we sent out SCRAP requests, like everyone else does, hoping to see some support. For some reason the Alliance subreddit wouldn't let our diplomat post the SCRAP request there. I don't believe he ever got an answer when he asked if he could.

I still think of our relationship as "neutral", because there's no good reason for us to be antagonistic, but I can't call it an official neutral because we don't appear to have any communication channels at all. I'd ask if you wanted to be a communication channel, but I didn't notice any of your posts until you bragged about pledging to Lavigny-Duval to mess up our preparations, so I'm not sure you're a great candidate.

Not that anyone in the Alliance is under any doubt as to what your real position is, or where the lion's share of our undermining comes from.

I'm sorry, you may think of us as unstoppable with a super-massive player base, but we don't have enough CMDRs to operate 3 open conflicts and a secret war. Look elsewhere when you assign blame, sir.

Guathiti at 850% already...

Must we make 0-24h stupidity patrol in Guathiti to redirect suppliers to places that actually need supplies?

Thanks to being part of a couple of good wings today in HP44811 i made enough merits (4250) to maintain my rank 5 :)

To ALL players; If a system is 100% fortified do not waste time on it. It's done. When we see a system fortified to 2,000% (Yes two THOUSAND lol) it is the same as 100%. Please do not overdo a system because that is a dozen other systems that could have been fortified instead. To all that fortify, thank you! I feel your pain and I am doing it properly with you! Keep up the good work :)

Yeah. Ok. Oddly the Feds say exactly the same thing.

Right. Sure.

Wouldn't it be lovely to remotely understand the antagonism from Mahon's direction? Dislike is fine. We've had opponents from day one. Dislike without explanation or apparent cause is just vexing.

As I recall OCI (defunct) attacked you once (undermined 1 system). No one supported their actions, and in any real terms it hurt you not at all.

It makes more sense for virtually every other Power to attack you before us. Nothing to gain, whatsoever.

Well, we're planning on building something very large out of the millions of stockpiled supplies. We're into "Death Star" mass levels now I think, but I think we can hold out for "Small Moon".

Seriously though, we've received plenty of communications that leave little thought of accident or lack of information as the cause for Guathiti. People use it to gain the rank 5 bonus without actually helping the Power.

Period.

Yeah. Ok. Oddly the Feds say exactly the same thing.

Even if they were telling the truth too... there is a big difference: you share a border with the feds, not with us.

Without any organized efforts, what is left are the grinders, and they undermine whatever is closer to them, and thats why all the Alliance border with Hudson gets undermined. It is just that simple.
