News Horizons Beta Delay to Monday 30th November

will be out shortly.
And I will have to go to bed soon (wait no I won't).
Oh, I will have to go to work (wait, I work at home).
So this means I will have hours and hours with Horizons
soon as it's released? (yes)

Why do a lot of people think they will need to download a new launcher from the store? Didn't the last launcher update done specifically to handle the Horizons beta? Like all other betas, I would expect to see it appear as an additional choice in the launcher.

Perhaps you've misunderstood things. For some, the Launcher doesn't update itself and we are forced to go to the store and download it.

Oh nuts.... have i got it wrong? i thought the new launcher update a couple of days ago was 64 bit capable..... why else does it now have a 32 bit game option available in the menu ?

was assuming it would say:

ELITE DANGEROUS (32bit)
HORIZONS (64bit)
SINGLE PLAYER COMBAT TRAINING

????? does anyone know for definite if it will be another launcher update first ?

Whilst I accept the inevitable delay in the Horizons beta becoming available, I fail to see why it was necessary to break the current released game. Surely the beta works with the beta server?

My launcher now states 'Elite Dangerous [32-BIT]' which I don't think it did yesterday! A BIT closer....

I think happy hour at the Golden Hind starts at 7pm we should expect something around 6.52pm...

Even though I'm super exited myself, I've been here many times before since the "Alpha" journey.

Some of us need to realise that even if they released it now, it would take quiet some time to download, the servers will be under strain.
