Get lost, i don't want anyone to send my HW info anywhere. Was it in EULA that allowed them to do so?
Hmm looks like it is in EULA, but it does not say anything about blocking them from sending HW info to them so i should be fine.

Fine, so long as you don't want them to look at any of your bugs because you are too paranoid to tell them what hardware you have.
It does it once on installation, and then at your request, and even then, it asks you if you want to sent it to FDev.

Spying on what systems you go to, what you buy on the commodities market... SHOCK - They could even be spying on what ship you fly...Grief!

If game crashes or experience bugs, it's my problem to worry about them and nobody else business. It's nobody else business if my game crashes or not. Yes it crashed once or twice and i don't want anyone to know details about it. It's getting out of hand with companies spying more and more and more and getting more data. Someone should say NO! I've had enough of them. No data for you!

You can't find out anything from this forum chat, even my username is one time use of random nickname generator. I was born in soviet oppresion regime where even neighbors could just say anything about you to state security and you'd be in jail with your whole family. What a lovely trip to jail. The internet is not anonymous. Anyone who had lived through soviet era oppression would not be stupid enough to think that his IP could not be logged, not his alias unmasked, especially on a site not intended to hide people's identity.

If I had a serious thought that you were making some kind of threat, do not think that I could not, within 24 hours, obtain a warrant that would require FD to release the IP addresses you are posting from and trace that back to an ISP, and to your home, and have the fuzz knocking down your door. (I'm not going to of course.)

I have checked as many places as I could find to get news on the release time/date of Horizons Beta and there does not seem to be an update past 19 Nov 15.
I have already arranged for the purchase of a new computer to replace the iMAC 27 (as it cannot run Horizons) and would like to coordinate the download of the 8GB Horizons file while in the city picking the computer up (as I have limited download capability where I live).
Any news on release time as it is already 1 Dec 15 where I live (Australia)?

I don't know where you are, I'm in the UK and My Downloadable Products still states 2 Items, but is empty with nothing to download.
Still, I'll keep waiting and hopefully the download WILL go live tonight, which may be a far better time for us to download the files (I'm certainly NOT intending on going to bed, until it's downloaded and I've had a go at it), even if it's 4am....

You guys are fighting over security and IP's when you should be fighting over fried chicken.
I usually run thru steam, so dl a new installer from my lifetime pass link, and have the option to install beta now, but its not having any of it.
The new installer installs in a folder called EDLaunchbeta. But the server still says 'Server refused to provide installer: Not available', which I think translates from server speak as, I am getting hammered here, come back later.
