Hello Cmdrs, may I introduce myself?
My name is Cmdr Wiwaldi. I am the earl from Tsim Binba.
I have allowed Patreus long ago to take my system under control. I have actively worked on it, as I have prepared it and fought for the expansion.
A contract between Patreus and me was taken. I get 50 million for the week and it must strengthen the system against our enemies.
I have always considered myself to this treaty.
By the time I was asked if I help to strengthen other systems. This too I have done. Without further payment.
Over time, however, this unpaid work was due to mismanagement of Patreus leadership increasingly.
I and other Cmdr were treated like Patreus slaves.
Now it's over.
I stick to my contract. If Patreus wants more from me, he must pay for it.

Hello. My name is Rubberboots. I've been with Patreus since the first few minutes that powerplay went live (earlier, if you count the Beta). Since that time I've mostly occupied myself with treating Patreus supporters like slaves, and mismanaging Patreus leadership increasingly.
Okay, but seriously: I help run the Patreus subreddit, coordinating with allies, tracking our various activities and planning our weekly activity. I also love helping new players (which is why I wrote the guide, here), so if you have any questions, let me know either here, or by adding me in game.

Since I've been sticking my nose/oar in on a few of the other threads I should really introduce myself here!
I'm Cmdr Spydur. I've been pledged to Patreus from, almost, the start of PP (currently 25 weeks, 5 days). I'm part of a small group of players, there used to be more of them also pledged but that has fallen by the wayside the last couple of months and there's just a couple of us left.
The reason for picking Patreus in the first place was mainly geographical. It was the closest power at the time to our groups unofficial 'HQ' and in general we mostly considered ourselves to be more Empire than Federation (for me it's the ships, love the clipper and am currently attempting to slowly, slowly save up to eventually get the cutter). The other reason of course with due to Patreus's magnificent beard! (bow down to its glory!).
With PP my main role is usually fortification. I keep up with the reddit posts and try and direct my efforts where best needed. My main ship is currently a Python so Smei Tsu is quite often a destination. My main motivation with doing PP is quite frankly to get the salary - I can usually keep up rank 4. However I do enjoy being part of the wider community, feels like I am doing something towards the bigger picture and I enjoy reading the forum here and the reddit page.
My playing time varies. Often what I do in an evening is just have the game on in the background gathering up supplies every 30mins then when I have a full hold I go off and do a run. When I have more time, mostly weekends, I'm more likely to actually sit and play the game. What I do then really depends on my mood. Tradey trade grind or pew pew pew! Or sometimes blasting off into deep space in my Asp explorer.

After stealing shields from Aisling and rail guns from Arissa, it's time to steal plasma guns from Denton. So... hello there
Nice!!! - I hope you spend some extra time with Patreus, this is definitely the most "fun" power to be pledged to
Anyway after the Shields Railguns and Plasma's there is not much else worth getting and you surely you dont want to soil your Empire record with the Feds or pirates!!

With all the fuss going on about people ruining PP because they farm merits in the wrong areas, I figured the lesser of all evils would be to farm merits by killing AD ships. That and it's combat without ruining reputation with anyone. Besides, I only need 75 kills in three weeks total. That is very manageable.
