I'm a backer for PC, and now mainly play it on Xbox. I much prefer it over PC. Minus the clear, focus on PC with us in the background, especially considering many of us left PC for Xbox, I know of 7 so far

You are correct my PC can run circles around a ps4 and Xbox 1 combined. But I going to go on record here, and say that ED doesn't look that different. Don't get me wrong it's better looking on PC, but not so much that I'm missing anything. And I'm not so shallow of a gamer to require the best looking version just to enjoy a game.
Though there's clear advantages PC will always have aside from graphics.

That's about it. I run the game in 4k but it makes ed look like a toy game. Its so sharp things look like rubber made. Though I haven't purchased vr yet, I'm waiting for official release.
Reason some left PC for console.
To play with console friends
Xbox control
Easy load up
Some so they can play on big screen, not my issue though
PC gamers are more anti social ( in my experience ) than console so the game feels very barren. Basically when you see a player 1 of two things commonly happen, they ignore you or attack you. Though on console I've met a number of ppl in passing I play with regularly.

First time I've read the reasons I left PC gaming for Xbox written by someone else
Strangely, PC gaming used to be very different, somehow less antisocial. I started off playing many moons ago during the Quake 2 era on a 28k modem. MS gaming zone for Xwing v Tie fighter... I've played a lot of games since then too.
I've been playing on the Xbox since it's release in 1999... multiplay via Xbox live too since it started on the 360, alongside sticking to PC for flight sims and serious military sims like ARMA2 et al. I've ditched the endless drive for upgrading kit now though, for financial reasons more than anything else.
After all this time on Xbox live, my one beef with console multiplay is that I end up babysitting other folks socially kids in any adversarial PvP games I have.
I still reckon the demise of coop multiplay games in general is breeding a whole new set of antisocial ethics. Thank the stars for Tom Clancy games is all I can say...

one of the main reasons of ditching the COD series was the kids and the racist/homophobic rectal sphincter types in game chat, the BF series wasn't to bad in that sense. so far in this glorious game I have seen a slack hand full of cmdrs, one being sniper fish he was kind enough to give a noob cmdr some simple help in a CZ. most of the time the rest have rarely said hello a few attacked for no reason than to try some pvp and most of the other times they flew on in their own little world. problem with online gaming is after years of having to deal with pricks out to ruin your fun no one wants to play as other people ruin your fun.

So XB has a promise of Horizons onwards?
Interesting... so XB1 has been promised a future with ED Horizons onwards? That's more than us Mac users have.. XB must have shader superior graphics potential then ?
I came to this thread to find out if the XB was getting anything more than what Mac was promised... seems you guys are in the same position us Mac users were in way back when FDev announced Horizons available for sale as a lifetime pass - Good luck guys and gals I was an Alpha, kickstarter backer & Mac user btw - FDev have had my money on promises - yet as the years have passed I would seriously consider buying and XB as opposed to running windoze on my Mac via bootcamp - better to have a separate gaming machine than have a computer infected with all 'Bills security' and update patches. Hope the XB story works out better.
Just to add.. My Mac runs perfectly quiet, never a bsod/irq conflict/driver file update issues, yet once windoze runs on it via bootcamp I'm reminiscent of the 90's - perhaps even earlier (-;

Besides the fact i dont own a gaming pc, prolly my ultra book can run ED, but not as good as my XboxOne can, this are the exact same reasons why i like gaming on XboxOne aswell..

There is no question. I'm a gamer, PC Xbox ps4. But when I have a choice, one game is on Xbox and another like PC. I'll always pick the Xbox version, oh and though I'm not an achievement hunter I do like to get them. Ps4 has them, I have Ps4 and funny enough could care less for their trophy copy system.
But there is no denying the graphic potential of PC. Then there is VR!!
So I don't limit myself. " last of us " is one of the greatest game I've ever played ps3/4 only sadly. But most of the other playstation games I don't get into.
Proper vr which this Gen of console will not be able to do, while maintain frames/resolution/high poly models. Sony's vr isnt going to happen without sacrifice. So my only great VR experience will always be PC. Then there is games like ED, star citizen, space engineers. These I have been able to play, or interact with on PC, and though some more complete than others its been terrific, and lastly mods. Oh man how I changed my skyrim experience with mods.
