who's playing that other new GPP game on Xbox? what does its success mean for Elite?

I'm playing it, I like it a lot but still sharing time with E.D. mostly for community goals. The time I used to spend just wandering around the universe is drawing to a close for me.. Now I log on to specifically accomplish a task then log back off. Going forward I think if E.d. wants to build hype they may need to start ADVERTISING Elite more actively on xbox or this experiment may end in failure.

Graphics made my eyes bleed. Omg!

I was really looking forward to this, but after trial i couldn't stand it anymore.

Im not a guy that puts graphics above gameplay, but Ark is just to damn ugly on X1.

Ark? I played it for 2 hour's before I ran into a bug that isn't allowing me to respawn or create a new survivor, plus after reporting this I was completely ignored...so I'm angry as hell at Studio Wildcard, and hope FDev's does not take any note's from Wildcard's bug reporting team. $40 blown up a bull's ass.

I downloaded it, haven't touched it.

Solid premise.. a WoW/Minecraft hybrid with dinosaurs.

But even the PC play I've seen.. just.. makes me shrug. The way flying creatures can "park" in the air.. the crazy inventory system.. the crafting.. Nothing I've seen from it makes me go "ZOMG I NEEDS THIS"

I'll play terrible graphic games if the gameplay actually looks interesting. But Ark just looks like work. Thanks, but I have a job.

I got 20hrs no problems except finding pve servers.. Already level 12 just tamed a pachyosaurus. Regarding graphics I turned off blur that helped for sure.
I had a problem tweeted the devs and they emailed me back in 10 minutes.. Great support experience so far.. F.D. O.O I'm looking at you!

I hope some of the others that play(ed) ARK can give me some opinions. I did the trial. The premise is very interesting to me. Graphics were Meh. Gameplay although slightly convaluted was a turn off. I don't know if it was because of trial, but didn't let me respawn same character if I died. Forced me to create new. As long as that is the case; it definately will not be purchased. Although I like the idea of being able to select a server; it needs to be incorporated like Neverwinter. You are automativlcally put in a server and you can change servers if you want to play with a friend.

Before I spend my money on the game I would need to see the graphic tearing and framerate fixed at least some. The server selection revamped. And the save game issue resolved. I do look forward to any input from current players. Maybe if they do make those changes I may buy the game before it cones out of GPP.

I presume you mean Ark? It's a good game. But their server structure is terrible. I can never get onto the same server as my friends because it's always bloody full.

That's ^ the biggest issue I've faced so far. That and remembering to drink water .

Before my "can't respawn" issue I died 3 time's and was able to respawn as the same character.

I don't know what experiment you're referring to, ED is no longer a GPP game. Its full release was October.

If you want it to. By that i mean you can either respawn the same guy, or make a new survivor everytime you die. I died 3 time's and came back with all my XP and Engram's.

Couldn't agree more.
Commodore 64 graphics were better.
I thought the game was utter scutter and it has been deleted.
Gave me headaches.
That bad I really wanted to destroy my hard drive and buy another to remove all traces of it.

The UI could use some work but the graphics were fine 0.o My only complaint so far is the server structure they're using is garbage.

You must be either playing on PC or in denial. Bad graphics don't bother me, but I must admit I felt like I was playing Turok Evolution on N64 when I started up the game.

ARK on xbox is running at a PC's "low graphics" setting, there are settings that can make you "not have a headache" and i have clocked so many hours in that game, played it since it came out. I would prefer it if they made it possible to host a private server for more than 4 people without needing a 2nd xbox one. Let us A) Host from a PC for the xbox version. B) Rent(?) one of their servers
