i Will never understand how you all can play with the hotas on top of the table, it's really uncomfortable and not ergonomic at all, unless you rise up you desk chairs of course.. but they need to be really high.
Haven't had it long, but you're right, it sits a little high to be comfy, might cut some holes and sink it in
Which is exactly why I am building my own (currently working state)
The holes will help. Its amazing how even 2 inches feel on the wrists!
Oh Er! 
And its annoying when people read too far into things I type... I'm not that deep, I am as shallow as the surface you see!

Sorry for the late awnser but those are Adam A5X studio monitors (look em up)
Behind the monitor is a Musical Fidelity DAC and PSU (external soundcard)

Happy to see my rig a couple times, but the crews I'm jealous of are the ones with:
Warthog, MFG Crosswind, steering wheel, triple large hi res screens, Track IR, controller on an iPad, and a red hot PC to run it all.
Switches and paint are so last century.
But there are some really inspirational rigs in that tumblr.

I used to have the A500 back in the 80's.
A few months ago a friend a mine turned up unannounced with a working Amiga 500 for me.
New PSU arrives tomorrow, so I'll take the opportunity to recable everything. I've got my eyes on a 4k screen for the new Titan, but to be honest I think I'll stick with the triple 1080's for a while.
It'll also let me find the donglewhatsit for the trackir, and hopefully the Long Lost USB hub that my pedals and MFD's went into - it's under a pile of subwoofers somewhere.

I admit the 64" 4k panel kind of eats my desk. Fortunately I have another side of the desk with my work computer on it.
