With the cobra you wont see see a mission to carry 144 slaves but they are there, and you have to use bigger ships meaning you wont have the same acceleration and speed of a cobra, also meaning you will get scanned 100% of the times.
Also if you dont have a next jump you will be constantly interdicted until reach the station or you win the mini-game.
Again i find the mini game more difficult to do in bigger ships, before the horizons i used to win some of them and loose other like 50-50. and now its more like 10-90.
Hey maybe it's my skill, its degrading, but i don't feel like it is, but its my opinion.
You are always at least one time interdicted while doing these types of missions. Randomness should happen and its not happening.
Obviosuly I will and do see those missions but they are 'unavailable' to me due to the cargo space, no denying that...
I also fly a python a lot lately.. and have gotten used to throwing it around a lot too... I tend to evade most interdiction attempts on me in most ships I fly even the T6 (I also did a lot of testing of the interdiction mechanic back when 1.4 went live as I did not participate in the 1.4 beta), not winning all of them but most of them for sure, from Authority and NPC pirates etc when I choose to try and evade them....
I like the new 'do not get scanned' missions, they add an air of excitement to the whole smuggling operation that otherwise used to feel like I was just trading illicit goods, not actually trying to avoid getting caught... It used to be that the fines / bounty for smuggling was nothing compared to the reward for doing the missions so often profit was to be had, with the new type however, there is a real element of risking not making any money if you get 'caught' which I find very very refreshing....
I have had NPC's and pirates drop out on me at outposts as well and have (thus far) been successful in getting to dock without being scanned and then completing the mission after entering the hanger...
For me, I would say that with evading the interdictions, especially in my python and defintiely in the cobra, its probably above 75% success... probably actually above 80%...
When I am on pirate hunting duties... of course I submit and kill them, but when I am smuggling, if I do not think I can win, I submit and either boost like a banshee or just take them out depending on my mood and the ship I am in... no matter if its authority or a pirate and no matter even if its in a jurisdiction, once you fire on them, they won't scan you, you just have to either kill them and bug out or shoot at them and bug out after the FSD cools down before their reinforcements arrive...
I am an assassin mostly in game so I care less about bounties on my head or reputation with minor factions that are not my home faction or with either the empire or alliance as I am allied to the feds... I use that mindset to my advantage when I engage in smuggling missions... sometimes its easier and quicker just to kill the coppers than worry about fighting them... and even if you are WANTED AND HOSTILE to all of the systems factions you can ALWAYS dock at a station or ourpost (just do NOT get scanned by a stations authority vessels or breach the laws while in a station or outposts no fire zone.
There can be problems for some people with evading interdictions due to real world connection issues (lag) and the instance server's physical location...
