are the barnacles/thargoid warships sellable/destroyable/scannable?
OMG ! OBSIDIAN ! IS THAT REALLY YOU ?! OH WOW ! love your videos man ! keep up the awesome work !Does anyone have any idea how large these Barnacles are? I'm guessing we are assuming two things; 1) They are quite large. 2) They have lights.
I recently went searching for the crashed Anaconda in Orrere, and despite having the co-ordinates of 43, -173 this was still not enough to locate the wreck (although it was night time). That said in day time the Anaconda can be seen from quite a distance.
If the only way to find these is by eyeball, it could well take a long time. The Anaconda is crashed in a sort of half valley / crater. Not sure if that helps with the Barnacles, after all we don't know if they are buildings or ships yet do we?
lol, poor Npc test subjects![]()

I think it would be useful to casual readers (like me) if someone that is actively participating in this thread could post an update every 4 or 5 pages. That way, you don't have to read some 600+ pages to see where the research project is. I've read the opening post of this new thread but now I'm finding posts where people are talking about "barnacles". So, I went back to see where barnacles were first mentioned but after some 20 pages from the 4th thread, I still have no clue.
Just a thought. I just don't have the time to read every single post in those threads but I'm interested to see where that project is going. If I missed some kind of update that is readily available, I apologize, didn't see anything mentioned in the opening post.
How in the eff are we almost at 20 pages already??
I was trying to reply to stuff in thread 4 but then the buttons disappeared. I haven't caught up with the end of the last thread and the beginning of this one but I gotta get some stuff off my chest:
Anyway, I've seen some complaints about MB having to come into the thread to point us in the right direction and how he shouldn't have had to do that if there were clues in game. Then I read a bunch of posts about looking for stuff in Maia and whatnot because it's in the Pleiades.
Guys... guys...
They literally put a sphere in the game centered around Merope with UAs that always point to Merope and we're looking in Maia?? They couldn't have made a more obvious signpost that what we're looking for is in Merope unless they actually made a giant flashing arrow in the galaxy map pointing to Merope that said "Look for cool stuff here!". We overthinking it... again! Let's get together and search every searchable thing in Merope. If something's not in Merope then the people I put on blast above are actually right and the clues were . But I don't think we've put enough of a concerted effort into searching there to declare that yet.
Still no luck, but another observation from the trailer:
Before the important shot, I spotted an crashed Anaconda behind the crashed T9...
Done. Here Cmdr Deltasnake, ready to contribute with data to spreadsheet.
Good method for working out possible gravity worlds. Let's not completely ignore the lower g worlds though, eh?I've done some testing after a CMDR in the previous thread tried to figur out the type of planet in the trailer usin the SRVs thrusters.
So at 1g thrusters are off.
< 1g thrusters point up.
> 1g thrusters point down.
Noted, thank you.+1 G
