UAs, Barnacles & More Thread 5 - The Canonn

The Distant Worlds Expedition might be able to teach the Cannon a thing or two about organization

We're specifically not trying to dictate any sort of coordination or organisation, and even with that hands-off approach we've been accused of trying to "own the UA mystery". But we'd certainly support any group of commanders, Canonn members or not, who want to coordinate some organised searches. And of course we do organise "official" Canonn events from time to time.

Speaking personally, I'm having enough trouble just keeping up with this thread and other Canonn discussions. And it's a busy time of year for me in RL so I haven't had time to even consider planning anything lately.

That does it again for me this evening. Got some pretty screenshots, that's about all.
.
Some questions for Mr Brooks, should he choose to answer when he comes into work in a few hours, provided, you know, they keep some sort of logical work hours over there across the pond:

First, I guess simply is the obvious "Are there any clues yet to be found in game, that would point the search to a more specific location other than "nebula"? As in, a specific system or perhaps types of worlds that spawn Barneys?"
.
Barneys aren't visible from orbital cruise, but would a planet have a feature perhaps that may indicate Barneys may spawn there that would be visible from OC?
.
Can you give us anything that might help narrow this dang search down? If not us, then perhaps just me?

Where is this?
Pleiades Sector HR-W D1-74 B 5. I landed on the East end of the "Spine" and starting working my way west. I got about halfway when i got tired and called it a night. Feel free to pick up where I left off.

Question: Does anyone know what the Goldilocks zone for an Ammonia world would be? Ziljan suggested this might be a terraforming thing, but obviously we can't use earth terraformables as a benchmark...

In my limited exploration experience, I would say there is not a zone, due to them sitting at some very LONG distances from the star of a similar class. Either that or a huge zone, what I do know is the zone starts similar to Earth-Like but seems to have no outer limit.

I had the same thing happen to me on the exactly same moon. I've done a bug report of it and added a link to your video also.

Have you guys tried high waking out? Or does that result in worse things happening?

Yes. I see now.
The anagram of "guaranteed find them right location"

is:
"The Magnificent gladiator" Which of course is a reference to Orion. Combine that with another anagram of the same word sent and you get "come on and ride it (the train)". Which is kind of what it looks like Orion is doing in the sky (from earth that is). So.... I... The train left the station.... Where was I going with this?

Have you tried looking in his belt? Or can we get there?

Being cold enough to be liquid as opposed to a gas would be a good starting point
Standard atomosphereic pressue it boils at −33.3 °C (−27.94 °F), and freezes at −77.7 °C (−107.86 °F) to white crystals

You must be aware of the dangers of such items.
What has been done for the safety of the inhabited parts of the universe?
Where is the blockade of the capital ships of the alliance, the Federation and the Empire?

Who is in charge of search operations?

I am sure that the search area is marked incorrectly, there are real galaxy NGC 7822
and currently it is a particular planet that looks more than strange and dangerous.

So, if you are wondering what we are doing, here is a short video of me searching. Also includes 'Ship Lift', 'Skimming' and SRV skittles (To break up the 'Barnacle Grind'). Feel free to Fast Forward as and when.
