That's so hot.

I'll be the guy..

Another " Fix the game or I will stop playing" thread. But this time in a well written, nicely formulated letter.

Well, if you want to leave, go, if you don't, stay. Easy as that. But why posting this on a forum? What are you gaining by that?

I took a 1.5 months break as well, nobody knew, i didn't care nobody knew. Its not like they are gonna fix this game now how you want it to be.

Choose ship on start? Never gonna happen, and i don't want it either.

Wing? Some good points. But hours trying? C'mon..

Anyway, ur a cool guy, hate to see you leaving. But, well, bye.

seriously????
he posted because he is telling you and frontier he really likes the game, but its failures are currently too much. hopefully frontier wakes up and after being repeatedly slapped with these threads they will realize why they keep losing players.
would you rather he jus silently leave and frontier be like.... hmmmmmmm we jus dont get it, hes being helpful if anything, frontier has enough fanboys

Yup, seriously.

If you wanna help, post on the bug forums. Easy. I can't count how many bugs i reported, he, did non. He isn't helping. I am.

I strongly disagree about point 2.
Instant teleportation is not part of the Elite universe.

I do want a ship transportation service though.
FD already said they want that too.
So, I'm good :).

^^^He's right you know^^^

If there are bugs, report them on the appropriate forum. FD want to hear from you, that's why they made a whole forum for bugs in the first place. It's on us to use it though.

Xbox General discussion won't see much dev' activity. This is no different than any other game's forum.

Seconded. I don't want the ability to magically teleport to any ship on a whim. Breaks immersion. Imagine how that could be abused by pirates in open being chased by bounty hunters.

"Oh you've tracked me down? I'll just teleport to my Sidewinder parked 350 LY away!"

The above is why teleportation is never going to happen.

A valet service however, where you contract a pilot to bring your ship to you, would be fine, as long as the following apply:

-It takes real time.

-There is a small chance the valet will steal your ship.

-There is a small chance your ship is destroyed.

This I feel is a great addition for a game that should be all about the immersion.

I'm not sure about those last two points... I would personally never use the valet service if it had a chance to cost me 50 million credits......

I am grown up enough to admit it Dusty,...but your right regarding bug reporting the wing issue. And I am going to report it.
I just assumed (dangerous I know) that the problem had been reported before. A quick check confirms it has in fact, been reported and along with seeing it being discussed on numerous occasions in many threads, over the last few months..... Time spent trying to get this fault working: Well, I just use my watch when I load up the game and check it again when I give up. And I am not one to exaggerate this aspect for dramatic effect my friend. Guess you've just been lucky and I've not.

Regarding your reply reference having a choice of which ship to load up and take out. Just having it as an option does not mean you have to use it buddy.

The last 2 points I am very hesitant about.
If stealing of the ship is possible then this should either be covered by insurance, and/or the ship should be retrievable, with a mission perhaps.
With large ships there simply are too many credits involved. Losing a ship is no joke in ED, unless you are a billionaire of course, which I ain't.

Losing a ship because it is your own fault is bad, but it would be incredibly frustrating if you could lose your ship without being able to do anything about it and just because of a dice throw in the background sim.

I do agree transportation should take approximately real time.

What is this? I don't even...

As proposed by the community FD intends to implement a way for us CMDRs to have our second/third etc. ships transported to a location of our choice.
I can't wait, because it would be a great convenience.
The details of this mechanic are not yet know.

I understand that. The whole idea of having your ship randomly stolen or blown up left me speechless. I hope he was joking.

It's a great idea. I love the idea of some little tearaway from Lave swanning around the bubble in my Fer de Lance, with sightings of my ship appearing on Galnet.
When I track him down do I disable the ship? Sell him into slavery?
Or destroy my own ship in righteous anger, blowing the little sh miscreant all the way to Andromeda?

Definitely a decent idea... would save me the price of a hauler or two...

I really want to be able to order my latest purchase direct from Shinrarta Dezhra online though... delivered by some lacky I can fob off with a kick to the pants and a 10cr note in his pocket :)

be funny if you could pay players to shift your ships around. be quite the experience for a new player to drive a conda to someone. But yes, human error in spades.

I will pass letting people drive my corvette. I would never get it back if that was the case.

yes i can see that happening more often than not. although i do believe there is something in paying actual players for services rendered, that i would like to see.

I guess it would be cool, but then the thing is is there a timer or are they just going to be like "oh sweet I got this sweet fighting ship. Going to go spend 4 hours in this HIREZ spot to get me some money".

I am not expecting immediate arrive but at least a timely faction. What you are saying for inexperience drivers is like uber with toddlers.

Agreed, nav restrictions? they can only follow the route you give them? but i was thinking bigger, imagine a wealthy mining player in need of a competent security force. you could find the job on the player generated bulletin board. right next to the regular bulletin board.
