My 'Conda is the nearest one in the video. Saw the entire thing out of the right hand side of the bridge. Unfortunately, I wasn't recording either :(

Sadly I then also crashed on take-off, due to the rookie-ist of mistakes "Not enough Thrust on a 1g world"! Edit - it was due to being locked into reverse thrust. Damn.

An Asp crashed almost on same spot minutes later. I had a wreck on each side of my ship. Creepy place, that planet

That was me :(

Some of the advance pilots who got there days earlier also had problems with crashes of ships and SRVs (ahem). I think NGC 6357 should be renamed the Bad Luck Nebula.

I personally would love a 2g+ planet, I always choose the planets with highest gravity when i go for a drive with my srv/farming jumponium. For me it's more fun spending more time on the ground than in the air. Or maybe the german in me likes it because it's "more efficient". But then again i'm on this trip with an Imp Cutter... :D

Bye bye waypoint 5

I'm enjoying the slower pace to the core this time. Last time I was so focused on getting to Sagittarius A* I hardly payed attention to what was around me, missing all the sights I have see now by simply looking around the waypoints in a 1500 ly radius. Sure I can jump 2500ly per hour ahead, yet watching the skies slowly change adds a lot to the journey.

I chuckle at the thought of 'finding things first' when we get to the core. There are so many stars, the chances of running into each other in a 300 ly radius are extremely low. This about a 10ly radius

At least as far as will show up again. For a while it seemed everyone was gone.

The great group shuffle..

From Monday 1st Feb.... all those on the roster and in Erimus group are now invited to join the main DW group; Kamzel. If you're on the roster and still in Erimus or Patrecleus group, apply to Kamzel group and you'll be added. Kamzel has over 600 of the 1,000 official pilots in it, so its the place to be from now on.

Anyone who didn't make it on to the roster but signed up anyway and has tagged along with the expedition regardless, I am now opening Erimus group up to you guys if you want in. This should help with your instancing issues and help you see who else is on the expedition that is unregistered too. Don't expect me to admin Erimus group or deal with minor complaints within it, I don't have time - I'm just throwing it open for all you guys who have been tagging along in open and have found it difficult to find fellow unregistered players to wing up with.

Unregistered players can apply for limited FleetComs here : https://discordapp.com/invite/0hKG2qb9ODixa7Iz

So, today is why this expedition is fantastic. Lots of people in the instance, 8250 lys from anywhere, lots of people on teamspeak and discord, a mad green planet.

Cheers Erimus, Dr. kaii and all for this crazy great idea!

second that :)
