I thought I was going to be on my own in Mobius for awhile, until some friends came to visit ...
We had ourselves some SRV races, and a rousing game of shield tag ... and even ran into another couple of commanders along the way!
After welcoming our new friends with the traditional blinding floodlight salute, there was only one thing to be done ...
An intense downhill slalom off the side of the plateau! Falling with style was never so much fun.
Shockingly, we all survived with our SRVs in more or less one piece, and managed to get picked up by our ships at the bottom too.
After what seems like forever jumping.. I've returned to the scene of my original demise - the Deathworld of NGC 6357

I suffered the SRV destruction bug.
AGAIN!!!
Right in front of Akira and Anuranium at WP06. I spent 7 hours in total today catching up and got to WP06 just after midnight. Less than 3 minutes after deploying one of my RESTOCKED SRVs... I clip a stone, flipped up and BAM before I even touch the floor!!!
Annoyance is too mild to describe my emotion right now.
So, to hell with this. That's it. I'm out. I've already self-destructed and used 3 premium jumponium to get back to Shinrarta Dezhra tonight.
I will NOT be rejoining you all.

Separately to my personal aggravation, another Cmdr got interdicted about 5 jumps from SagA* this evening.

Hypothetically, if I was in the DW private group and decided to carpet bomb everyone I can at Beagle Point is there a penalty for that? I mean a FD penalty not just getting kicked from the group by the owner.
Just asking, as I would think that 1000+ pilots may contain a sociopath or two.
Fun fact about that rescue: CMDR Petroprovg's game crashed as we reached the lip of the pit. I had to frantically wall the throttle, angle my SRV sideways, and jump for it before the asp disappeared from underneath me. Picture a Volkswagen beetle catapulting off a sinking aircraft carrier.
I thought I'd lose an SRV early in the journey, but thanks to CMDR Hyperious and CMDR Petroprovg, SRV-01 is now securely within the hold of the Earthbound Misfit.

That is simply incredible. Comedic sight to say the least!
I crossed a relative, but fortunately not starless, void, and found myself in a field of blue giants as soon as I reached the bright part of the galactic arm again.
I've also discovered that each patch undoes my UI color tweak, so I concocted a quickie fix for that.
Congrats on the Asp rescue of the SRV, by the way. That's some excellent flying and ingenuity!

I just noticed that the rendezvous dates are missing for the base camps. Just wanted to bring that to everyone's attention.
Meanwhile the Lucky Lassie is doing extreme rear guard duty as RL events have put me around 4klies behind the pack. Im gonna try to make it up tomorrow afternoon.
