" the recent discoveries indicate that we are indeed not alone out here , so I urge the distant worlds fleet to proceed with caution , and remain on yellow alert , this could be a perfect opportunity for a surprise attack from the creators of the UA and the barnacles , and inform us instantly if you find any mysterious discoveries specifically barnacle and UA related , fly safe and good luck out there . Can't thank you enough Ian - I'll try to get some premium biscuit rations sent to you one day :)
Here we go again ... Omg I'm starting to lose my mind again

Yo @ayal - biscuits are at the heart of our group - along with science!

Also: I like the article, but any Galnet that's officially Canonn has to go through our forums, please, so we can decide whether it's something we want to submit, and to give the rest of the group a chance to edit collaboratively. There's also the consideration as to whether we've already got articles planned (as we do at the moment).

Yes, that doesn't always apply to me - although the Council always review what I write even if it doesn't go in front of the rest of the group (as is the case with my most recent one).

The exception to this is if Ian and his team choose to write something including us, of course ;)

Not looking to block your creativity - it's just that we do try to control the story part of the group reasonably tightly.

Title: Meta-Alloys turning up for I Sola Prospect

Description: The hangar foreman of Roed Odegaard Port have been reporting that several commanders have turned in Meta-Alloys in the bid to assist I Sola Prospect. One such foreman was quoted as saying "We're glad these guys want to help, we just don't know exactly what we can use these goods for at this time. We're paying well for them, though." Dozens of Meta-Alloys have turned up in private markets across the system, raising further questions. The Imperial Inquisition could not be reached for comment.

System : Konsaxa

Across the Galaxy in a Sidewinder

Last year, on January 7th 3301, a Sidewinder called Sneaky Pete and piloted by CMDR R4nger0, left its berth in an outlying frontier system, and headed out in to the galaxy. The goal was to be the first pilot to cross the galaxy in a Sidewinder - for the glory of it!

CMDR R4nger0 reached the edge of the far Scutum-Centaurus arm in the summer of 3301 - setting a distance record for such a small ship.

This week, on 4th February 3302, some 13 months after its departure, Sneaky Pete arrived back home and successfully docked at a station in the Konsaxa system - and in doing so set an endurance record that seldom few will beat.

Thirteen months out in the black, in a Sidewinder, across the galaxy, and back!

@ Ian Dingwall

I noticed this week's installment of the "Powerplay: Weekly Report" just went up. Thanks!

There is a small clerical error in the first paragraph.

Alliance Prime Minister Edmund Mahon did not have the opportunity to sign new trade agreements this week. Pending the conclusion of negotiations in Ross 842 and HIP 55118, the Alliance trade network will encompass an impressive 97 centres. Authorities in HIP 73269 have invited Alliance delegates to discuss the possibility of establishing another trade hub in the system.

That '97' should be '90'. At first glance, everything else looks good. Thank you!

Title: Federal Security Services move to investigate mob at Yeninuri.
Word has just reached our reporters that the local security services in the Yeninuri system are investigating an incident which occured at Kahn's Outpost, Yeninuri at 10am GMT, 4-2-3302, in which a large group of some 60 pilots descended upon the small, Federal outpost, effectively locking down the station for several hours, preventing regular and essential traffic from entering or departing the outpost.
A spokesperson for the People's Yeninuri Liberals, the majority shareholder of the station released the following statement a little earlier today:
"One minute we were pushing shuttles planet side, and then, dozens of them, all kinds of ships, dropped into our grid and forcing entry into the hangars. Three shifts couldnt make it down to work, whilst the returning workers couldn't dock to rest up after their shifts were over. The lost work is a huge blow to our efforts here in Yeninuri, and the clean up operation after they left could take weeks."
When asked to describe members of the mob, or to see if they had any shared gang affiliation, the spokesperson responded with:
"They were all different, if they were mercs or gangers, they didnt advertise it. The only thing they had in common was that they were drunk, and they kept shouting about some pilot, Commander r4, or Arthur or something... and glory, they kept yelling about glory too."
Federal Security officers would like to speak to anyone who may have some information regarding the incident, which they feel may be linked to the rumoured return of Commander R4nger0 to inhabited space. They would also be interested in speaking to any merchant who comes into possession of any black market alcoholic distilation equipment over the next few days, and are offering amnesty in exchange for information in what appear to be related enquiries.

EDIT: Gah, forgot to post this earlier - apologies for the overlap with Erimus's post.

Galactic News: Anti-Piracy Coalition
March 1, 3302

“Today marks the formation of the Anti-Piracy Coalition,” a spokesperson for APCs announced, “and the day we begin our march to wipe out terrorists from the known galaxy.” APC is a union of Federation, Empire, Alliance, and Independence pilots coming together to make space a safer place.

The APC have announced Nisgayo will be their forward staging base, and have asked for pilots to help supply food and medicine for the coming operation. When asked for comments, President Hudson’s Chief Communication’s Director stated, “We are proud to be leading this partnership on the War on Piracy with our naval fleet including a Farragut Battle Cruiser.” Edmund Mahon noted, “It’s time we set aside our differences and come together for a common goal of making the civilized space safer.” Arissa Lavigny-Duval could not immediately be reached for comments, however, a spokesperson ensured that the Empire was fully committed to this effort.

CMDR Pato, a founding member of the APC declared, “Soon we will release the power of all nations who will pour over you like a gigantic and unstoppable waterfall”.

Galactic News: Kumo Crew responds to the Anti-Piracy Coalition
March 3 3302

Word of the Anti-Piracy Coalition (APC) reached Archon Delaine. He laughed, “Let them come! This is a momentous occasion where Federation, Empire, and Alliance pilots volunteer to decorate our doorstep with their floating bodies and debris from their ships. This should be celebrated.

In fact, we should help these pilots celebrate their last living days with some narcotics. Come to Kornbluth Orbital, and I will handsomely reward all pilots that smuggle narcotics to these pilots at Nisgayo”

A spokesperson for APC noted, “We have the utmost confidence in our pilots’ self-discipline. However, as a precaution, we have increased security at Bosch City in case the Kumo cew have any other ideas.

Galactic News: New Videos Surface from the Kumo Crew
March 11 3302

The Anti-Piracy Coalition launched their initial assault on the Kumo Crew. A spokesperson for APC stated, “Everything is going as planned. We will clean out these pirate dens within two months. Any pilots wishing to join the effort are encouraged to register at Nisgayo before joining up with the main APC fleet.”

A source within APC noted, “The Kumo crew have a reputation and I’m concerned that some of the pilots may be turning to drugs to calm their nerves. It’s starting to affect some of their performance.”

Meanwhile, propaganda videos have been distributed by Kumo crew of an unnamed hostage Federation pilot being brutally beaten by Archon Delaine. At the end of the video a message is displayed recruiting pilots to join the Kumo Crew in their battle against the APC. The identity and fate of the federation pilot remains to be determined.

Galactic News: Ides of March
March 15, 3302

Additional Kumo crew propaganda videos have been surfacing containing destruction of APC ships and executions of APC pilots. The propaganda videos continue to recruit pilots to rise against the APC. In one video Archon Delaine states he will personally reward pilots that are able to assassinate any Admirals of the APC. He also declared that if the Farragut Battle Cruiser is destroyed, he will hold regular CMDR vs CMDR tournaments at the site of the wreckage. “I can't think of a more glorious arena than on the hollow ghostly shell of the APC capital ship!” Each video ends with the Kumo crew insignia and the words “Beware the Ides of March”

A spokesperson for APC stated, “The Kumo crew have been putting up more resistance than initially anticipated, but rest assured that everything is proceeding as planned.”

Chief Deputy Librarian Wesley Rupert for the Library of Earth Archives noted, “Leave it to ignorant spider pirates to distort the ancient history behind the Ides of March.”

as you wish , I'm trying to blaze my own trail here , however I can't agree on the biscuits for some ... Certain reasons that happened to me a while ago .

Hi Ayal..... LZ has a valid point. The Canonn group is about working together and collaboration. Going off alone is perfectly acceptable. But then please don't associate things back to the group.... fly safe commander o7
EVERYTHING I've done ever since I joined is to help the canonn and science spread , I have never gone alone . And for the team work thing : when I said I want to form a group to search the merope systems , nobody listened to me , when I was keep saying that all the theories about the stations are meaningless and it's the UA that is causing them nobody listened to me . I don't know about you but this is not team work or collaboration . I would love to be part of the team but it seems that nobody pays attention to what I'm saying . So this is far away from team work my friend , far away ....

Dude it was because the Merope mission had already been drawn up and put together by Derthek. You were talking about doing something that had already been organised. So when you then started to try and say about everyone joining you in Merope it actually came across as a bit disrespectful on your part! Nobody said that, though, because the majority of us don't like conflict!

This isn't really the correct place to have this discussion, though. Take offence if you wish, but it was not the intention to cause offence with our statements.

Edit: and apologies to everyone else for this public-dirty-linen-washing...
