In this case: the contents of my bowels.

Didn't get the system name, just somewhere about 2kly from wp6 on the way to wp7

100% metal world as well, I was looking forward to prospecting.

how can you even successfully land on a planet like that? Maybe they will bring out some modules such as wheels instead of landing feet and flaps instead of chaff or something :D

Come in like an aeroplane and touch down at speed, keeping the VVI at less than 5m/s.

Oh yes, and lots of prayer!

This is not a star where you want to be fuel scooping!

Yeah, watch out if you're straightlining it to Botany Bay planet with the 4 earth-likes (WP8).....route is infested with well-placed traps aka neutrons.

Just seen announcement that WP8 is 4200lys away, or around 2hrs travel time in a 30ly ship.

Is that really how fast most people travel?

I feel like I must be doing something wrong - takes me 40 mins to cover a Kylie, in a 34ly Conda, and that's without even opening the system map. If the travel time is not a typo, please share your secret :)

@Scal: To go fast, the aim is to enter a system, align yourself to your next star while scooping a bit at the sun and jump as soon as the FSD cooldown is over. With a good fuel scoop and a sense of how high temperature will go depending after you start the FSD (while you are still scooping for exemple) you can shave a lot of time while never having to stop/orbit the sun for a complete fuel recharge.
This results in a relatively easy 30min / kly rythm without even taking too many risks. So you 40 min/kly isn't that bad actually :)

What is the tool people are using to tag their image filenames with the name of the system where they were taken?
There are several, EDD has it, EDProxy too. I ended up using SSC (screen shot changer) because it was more configurable at the time (i wanted date-system where most of the other were preconfigured the other way around).

"And A Great Evil Will Torch The Galaxy"

"When The Three Planets Align, A Great Evil Will Torch The Galaxy, It Shall Be Called Marcos Black, And It Will Be Ruthless And Merciless."

That is so not true, name is Macros Black, and the planets are not even aligned yet...
Three planets almost aligned,
Enjoy!
