Peoples first plans

...I was just wondering what is everybody's plans.

...

Initially, when the firm release date of the game is announced, I'll be straight in to my employment managers office with a holiday request form! :D

After downloading the game and checking most stuff works ok, I'll attack the fridge, pirate some cans of intoxicating liquor, load up my cargo bay wiv' some snacks and put a "Do not disturb for ANYTHING!" sign on the 'computer room' door!.
Errmmm....first thing I'll look at in depth will probably be the universe map, and 'stress test' my ship...
(Don't worry people...this will be in single player mode ;) :D)

Jack :)

Beta release: Experiment with EVERYTHING! Trading, trying all the ships, all the different kinds of missions, all the different equipment and maybe a little piracy.

Gamma: I'll probably go on a sight-seeing tour, find out as much as I can about the core systems, discover trade routes and just generally see were my adventures take me :)

Then I will play as 3 different commanders:
One who will go exploring into the depths of space.
One who will fly with my friends and probably be part of a guild.
And one Ironman trying to become Elite as quick as possible.

Pick a random direction and go. That's also how I started on Oblivion and Skyrim :D

I'll probably start out by doing exploration/survey and selling the data. How hard can it be? :p

Gonna stay safe in core systems until better ship and equipment. then add a little cash buffer.
After that i'll side with the faction that's closest to my playing style. and kill the F*** out of the opposing sides.
When that get a little boring ill go on a long jorney exploring.
After that who knows.
I'm sure a lot will happen to put a stop to my plans :)

Sit in my ship outside a station with my Oculus headset on and wave at ships going bye. Hopefully someone will see me in the ship ... you know ... waving! :D

I'm going to do as many humanitarian missions as I can, I want to fly around helping people.

If there is an RAC to join, I'd even do that. I think it would be fun.

:)

I'd like to say that I'll also be performing acts of charity, but realistically I'm going to put on my Elite T-shirt, fill my Elite mug with some Theakstons old peculier and find out what happens when you dump radioactive waste in interesting places, and eject slaves into the sun or various planets atmosphere.

:D

I have a simple 3 step plan:

  1. Turn on Iron Man Mode
  2. Forget I need to eject after being ganked due to being naughty
  3. Curse

I will repeat that several times until I cry, then just go exploring.

Starting as Federal Trader with a friend. We will try to meet up, invite a few close friends to play, and hire them as bodyguards to our fat merchant ships. That way we get to start cooperating right away, and our kickstarter-fattened merchants can help our sidewinder flying friends make some decent cr on the trade convoy.

To begin I will read the entire the user manual (I hope there will be one). Familiarize myself with all major aspects of the game And then, as in FE2, being a mercenary. Missions of assassinations of corrupt people, the military missions. And also trade of precious goods

I suspect it might depend on what I find in the beta.

My long term intent is to just head off into the middle of nowhere and explore, coming back to civilisation now and then when I have to replenish the toilet paper and trade in my discoveries. I have the KS rights to start in a long distance Cobra to do that, but that still feels a bit like cheating. If the beta forces us to do the 'proper' start from scratch in a piddling little sidewinder and work our way up, then I suspect that I will say 'been there, done that' and so take the KS offer. But if the beta throws us straight into better ships so we can start to trade and travel without the initial grind, then when the gamma starts I will probably pass on the KS special, and do the grind.

And then head off into the middle of nowhere ...

I've also got the Founder package so will probably start in the Founders system to have a look around then, as I planned a while back, wipe and start with the Sidewinder and 100cr - depending upon how many Beta wipes we have.

As AnnuverScotinExile says, I don't particularly want to grind from Sidewinder over and over again, so if there are loads of Beta / Gamma wipes I might start in one of the offered KS ships.

If its a 3 toon game, I'm planning on 1 Ironman trader, 1 Bountyhunter / trader in the All online and 1 Pirate / Smuggler in the All Online / Groups mode - that should cover most aspects.

No idea of a faction yet though....

The plan is to stay in the federation worlds and trade a little in live and exotic animals until I can get some starting capital to start doing what I really want.

Supplying industrial worlds with slaves!

I'm really looking forward to seeing these and taking part in them. Imagine a fleet of 30 Anaconda, or larger ships, coming in to dock. I can see a mad rush to be the first to dock so they can get the best deals! :)

Remember the instancing limit

Anacondas are huge anyway, so even a convoy of four of them is big news at any station.

All depends where the Founder’s world is, I expect it’ll be on the edge of all 3 factions, if it’s not too far of a trek, I’ll start with the best starting ship in the Founder’s world (Cobra Mk3, 4000cr), work my way back to the birth of humanity, the Sol system, trading as I go. I’ll then work my way out to the edge of Federation space, then take on some Fed Navy missions, hope they’ll give me an ongoing contract, whereas, if I scan a ship in Fed space & it’s carrying slaves, I can destroy that ship without incurring a bounty on my head, blasting off the cargo hatch first of course, scooping up the slaves, then freeing them at the nearest Fed outpost.

As the planetary landings update comes about, I’ll head back to the Sol system, then head outward, exploring new worlds.

Hopping into an explorer starter ship and seeing how far I can get, then probably trying to set up an explorer league if supply lines and station seeding are needed to drive towards the galactic rim.

Although an explorer at heart, I am fascinated by Thargoid culture and technology so I'd divert my exploration towards finding Alien cultures if such an opportunity presented itself.

Start out as a "innocent" trader and spend my hard earned money on better "canopener" for my ship :p Later on i will move on to more shady stuff, hehe
