the station bandit last night

Sorry!!!!

It was exactly the same thing as what happened to you last night :D
If you name and shame people can get revenge for you ;)

TBH - This is why I have been attacking Humans, for the challenge. Shooting 100+ NPC's is too easy currently.

I want Humans to come have a go, it's great fun and good challenge.

Sure I'm not on my own with this!

Sorry!!!!

@CMDR Noctivagus

I do think I have seen your name actually. It's quite distinctive. Perhaps I'll cut you some slack next time... perhaps? :)

Best wishes for your wife.

I'll say it again.
**** like this will give the game a lot of bad publicity

Well Thank You very much Frodo. I agree it's an issue and that the game mechanics need to address it. Surely that's a positive learning for the Alpha.

It's easy to insult someone when you are hiding behind a computer screen, isn't it.

I sure hope you are part of miniscule minority too because you take your fun at the frustration and expense of others.
Maybe I'm too old school but that's how I feel.

@CMDR Noctivagus
Best wishes for a prompt recovery of your wife. :)

The reason for an alpha is, to test such things out so they can implement game mechanics that prevent this or at least, make it less likely.

And on the other hand, I can totally understand why the topic opener is angry, but maybe if you have such a difficult situation at home and just want to have some fun, alpha testing isn't the best thing to do? I mean, alpha testing usually can be very frustrating...

Agreed - and the current deterrent, I am (almost) ashamed to confirm, is non existent/ very poor!

So why keep testing it?

OP was trying to do something for the good of the game, a test at the request of the developers.

But it's more important for you to feel good about shooting up and killing a peaceful PC. Well done. I hope you are very proud of yourself. Yeah, high-five. Take out the n00b with his weapons not deployed. Yeah, big man. Hero in fact. I am in awe of your l33t skillz.

Right now I also have tickets where Frontier have asked me to try to reproduce the problem. I'm sure there are others in the same situation as well.

Blocking the station at this stage is probably just going to ruin the testing people are trying to do with less bugs ironed out as a result.

It would be great if those that want to do PVP could take their game to FFA or somewhere else, as we are all more or less dependant on Zelada station for our testing.
If there are no PC's in FFA, well, that's just bad luck I guess.
There were 3 who attacked Noctivagus. Why don't you go and fight each other in FFA? You could even invite others and set up teams if that's what you want.

And this is part of my hatred of online gaming... you want to do something but a bunch of tools want to have their fun by ruining yours...

I know every scenario needs to be tested for bugs, exploits etc and I can understand the frustration... I experienced a similar thing in the Asteroid belt with a couple of griefers over and over again... but all they did was build up a bounty that could be collected... they can't win all the time...

Good thing i'll be able to go solo and ignore the masses once the game goes live...

Like tonight.

6 attempts to dock at the station. 6 ED software crashes.
Finally docked and saved game.
Now 4 attempts to get it and change weapons. Crashes out all the time.

Total time spent...about 30 mins :(

but YAY :D

As far as I am aware there isn't any restriction on shooting at people in space stations.. As it stands there is little deterrent and with all due respect I am getting a little tired of seeing posts where people come on and complain about the actions of others in game.

If someone beats you up, I suggest you tool up and take some revenge. Personally, I find overcoming such difficulties has only raised my game and pushed me to a better understanding the game dynamics.

Unless someone is on my KOS list I wouldn't typically start blowing away ships just zoning in at the station or spawn points, but thats just me.

Its only Alpha, all progress is likely to be wiped very soon anyway. I just don't see the point in letting it get to you.

Illegitimi non carborundum. ;)

That all said I really do hope the OPs wife gets better :)
