Wheres the "Yes but only with a proper AI" option? because I don't need wingmates that act as stupid as AI in CZ getting blown up so easily and probably ramming myself at the attemp to protect me.

And pirates should be able hire their own gang of thugs to deal with those escorts!
It's a Yes from me! :D

Exactly this in the pursuit of balance!

Wing's in my opinion is a still unfinished addition to the game given Frontiers stance that OGS modes are all part of the same galaxy.... Well at least that was there stance, now, who knows.

Of course I answered yes to the poll.
But I also would like to be hired as a wingmate by an npc trader to protect him.

Currently Wings is a useless addition to the game for me.
I play mostly Open, but always solo. I do not want human wingmates.

NPC Wingmate and NPC crew >>> multi.

Because you do not play with strangers
Because all my mate are in a long terme break manly due to faulty gameplay.

dude you just blew my mind

Never understood when wings came out that you couldnt have npc wings, its already coded in the tutorial. So why can't we have it in main game. It is stupid for solo players to be left alone but can be ganked by 5 wing npc pirates with no chance of help.

I was really surprised when I did the tutorial and then saw they were not in the game. Definitely something that needs to be added.

Yes totally!
That faction you worked so hard for,
imagine they actually helping you out by granting you some escorts.
Of course the AI has to be revisited before they would be of greater use, than enhancing the repair cost of your hull,
due to collisions.

Having the option to hire NPC wingmates would be great, yes.
There could be a lot of gameplay around this and it would be nice to develop a working relationship with particular NPCs.
Lots of potential for cost over reliability and the chance of backstabbery and so on, lots of mission spawning and so on possibilities.

Oh look! A previously advertised feature that was cut from this game! Who'd have thought it? ;)
I'd love to have this. But if they couldn't be bothered to get it into the launch game then I wouldn't hold out hope. It's not like Frontier lacked the resources. And I'd resent paying extra for a feature that was supposed to be in it at launch.

Not sure if you're trolling or not, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

1) The DDF was not a list of advertised features. FD even explicitly and specifically mentioned this, numerous times. People who say 'DDF=promised content' are either lying, illiterate, stupid or a combination of thereof.
2) Ofcourse frontier 'lacked the resources', the most important being 'time'. Again, FD explicitly mentioned from the Kickstarter on that ED 1.0 would be a 'basic version' with features being added over the following years.
3) People like you always resent it when reality conflicts with your sense of entitlement. Ultimately thats your own problem to deal with.

Seriously, if you have zero idea what you're talking about you may want to keep the sarcasm and entitlement hidden away. :)

Yes I would, but I don't hope for much even if we get them.

What I would really like would be a 1v1 enforcer. A no-space-taken device that doesn't let wingmates join up when one of them interdicts me.

It would be nice to see some of that content in at some point though - or else what was the point of discussing it? Sweeping it under the carpet, pretending that it didn't happen, and wasn't a developer led suggestion that would enrich the game, doesn't help either.

Wow. That was giving him the benefit of the doubt? I'd hate to see what would happen if you actually disagreed with him. ;) :D
