See, this would actually bring me back into open. I don't mind the idea that someone with a rail-de-lance can blast me out of the sky without warning if that can happen and I don't then have to re-do hours of playtime to make up for it. My entire issue with the open gankers is that all the effort and loss is on my side. So, in other words, his game is fun, he gets to do what he does, for whatever reasons he has, whereas as a victim of that sort of antisocial nonsense all the losses are mine to deal with. Remove the losses and suddenly that's a lot more fun.
So, yeah, the tradpvp lot won't be happy with that, because they have to have the added "danger" of a real loss. To me, that's not added danger it's a loss of fun, or added nonsense, if you prefer, but, you know, different strokes and all that. So, yeah, keep it as a toggle. I've suggested this myself in the past. Not to say that that's the ONLY thing that should change, but it'd help.
But sadly I think re-hashing this for the 90th time won't really change much at all.
