Legal log out

Hi Cmdrs, recently I has been insulted for others Cmdrs in fight when I used the 15 seconds countdown to log out. Im flying a shieldless Python vs FGS and Clipper (2 vs me), when my hull is in 20% I used the 15 sec option to log out. Obsviouly if this tactic was no legal I use other ship (I have money enought to afford it) or avoid the combat but I think I can use it like other tactic more (thats the reason that I fly in a full tanked Python).
I only want to know if Im doing something so bad enought to be insulted for other players when they cant kill me in combat using this countdown time.

I think logging outs pretty lame, but really I think being unable to kill a shieldless python in <15 seconds is lamer :p so don't sweat it, they had their chance.

It might get you on a kill on sight list (probably on reddit combat loggers)but as far as FD are concerned theres nothing wrong exiting via ingame log off. The only "care" about ungracious exits (cable pulls etc)

Hi Shilkir.

Logging out via the 15s timer is perfectly fine.

No one should be insulting you in game for the choice you make - Report the players involved via the in game tool. (Or PM one of the FD staff for help)

If players think the 15s timer is wrong they should make their case to Frontier and not to you by way of insults.

It's also quite lame to think flying in a defenseless ship loaded with loot is an intelligent idea. Why do you think there are aircraft carriers stationed around the worlds largest ports and oil tanker lanes, or armored vehicles who carry money from businesses to the bank.

In this kind of situation, I would probably try to hi-wake out before my hull got to 20%. Don't think I've ever flown a Python without shields either. Relying on the 'legal' log-out seems a rather poor choice of solution.

I don't see why. You bought the game just like everyone else, and you can play in any way you see fit within the game. Of course, it's up to everyone else if they want to play with you. *

* Generic "you" of course, nothing personal meant.
