Just under 1kly out now. Almost no point actually going ot BP seeing as I don't have Horizons access until Monday, though I think I'll do some flying around and see what I can see.

It has been fun, looking forward to the next week of activities and festivities!

Dude, thats awesome! Gonna get one if i can, just dont tell me the price too early, my mind kicks me in the , everytime i buy something like that :D

Thank you :)
I don't mass-order ; this one was ordered mostly to test its printing capabilities. I'm sure there are plenty of printing services around your place (and choose regular poster paper, not that bright photo paper which cost me around 35€, shipping not included) ;)

Decided to park up after getting to BP with the Frawd Squad and made the mistake of starting to play KOTR. That was a bad idea for all sorts of good reasons.

I'll drag myself away for this evening, looking forward to meeting you all [up] [hotas]

Does anyone have a good outline for a route back to the bubble?

I'm about 200LY to beagle point but I'm already concerned about making my way back home alone!

thanks!

Yes CMDR there is a Sagittarius-Carina mission thread which is being organised by CMDR Whiterose for all CMDRs who are interested in an organised return with the FGE fleet.

So, when it's all over, and you're back in civilised space, what are you planning to do with you're trusty Distant worlds exploration ships?

I think I'm going to keep her as a memento of the journey, I will repair the hull, keep the battered paintwork and then store my trusty Asp in a nice palm tree station in Sol. She's earned a comfy retirement :)

Actually I am just the town crier, because I have a big mouth, Corbin is actually organising it along with members of the FGE.

We now have an official FGE sign up thread. Please add yourself to the FGE Sagittarius - carinii google spreadsheet.

This is a very good Idea, I will join you. :)
My station could be Bakewell Point at Pallaeni, but I will see.

Most probably I will buy a new ASP immediately. :D

Lol, not sure the bubble is civilised, the void is more civil than the yahoos back from whence we came.

Civilised means citified, not polite. Civilisation began when we started living in large groups in one defended area. The polite bit came about due to the need to not p... people off when you live next door to them.

Full treatment

After this epic journey, TordenSkjold deserves the full treatment to restore him fully in all his glory. I doubt he'll be used for extreme exploration trips again, but if he could make it to Beagle Point...well, who knows, it might happen again. I'll go ask an Engineer if his jump range could be extended a bit. And he does look good on a picture.

Why, continue flying her. She was the first Anaconda I bought almost a year ago I have 2 amongst the menagerie of other ships I have), and she's taken me to Elite in both trading and exploration. She has something like 350KLY on the clock and has done me proud (not gone bang in it, it is actually the same ship I bought ages back, not an insurance replacement!)

It would be sacrilige to park her up as a museum piece :)

I henceforth consider myself severely berated and castigated for the incorrect use of the word "civilised".

I was going to sell it but I might now use it for the Robigo runs. I've never done one before but I would probably try and keep a similar build. My first thought was to sell both my Asp and Vulture and with my added cash buy something much better but I don't really fancy an Anaconda except for exploration and I can buy an A-rated FDL outright. Not that I am entirely convinced I'll buy one. It feels odd being off to one side in the cockpit.

I'm still getting used to combat again. And the bubble just seems so busy. There are stations, ships, signal sources everywhere!

Hey all - Just a quick note to Say cmdr Halo Jones has successfully crossed Roncevaux and is enroute to Beagle.

A little behind I know - Stopped off at Shin. Dez. to hand in enough data to go Elite, and to pick up 'The Spirit of The Hoop' - the stripped out little Hauler that was the first of it's kind to complete the Buckyball A* run back last year.

No shields, hardpoints, srv hanger, and almost no fuel tank either (just 2 tonnes worth).

With no boost I'm not Sure how Close she'll get but we shall see. Survey or Die!

Progress can be checked via twitterbot here:

Regards to all & fly safe

Approximately 24 hours ago, I brought the PROMETHEUS to a safe planetfall at Darwins Legacy landing site at Beagle Point. I would like to offer my personal thanks to Eirmus and Dr. Kaii for making this expedition possible, and for the other pilots who were already on site to help guide me in.

Hopefully I'll have enought to refit the Corvette for combat.
