Yep, the removal of offline totally killed the game. All of the Commanders you see are FD staff, there is novbody else playing. The forums are populated by bots.
Horizons is a rip off? You haven't even seen a quarter of the season yet.

I wasn't aiming at starting the same discussion again. Although I fail to see how a crashed coriolis station without any context to it would add anything within the game : P
I meant that the concept of Horizons at release also looked cool as hell and it ended up not adding much to the main game. So I believe that 2.1 will become the same - nice views/pictures sending us on our way to do the same thing once again.

Indeed. If it crashed fast enough on a soft enough target, that hole should be plenty deep.
You do know that, fixing bugs is what a beta is about? yes? or at least originally until some game companies ruined it, but with Elite, it means people should help fix bugs, not 'play' the game as many seem to do, using beta as early access.
So yeah, the more people that help find bugs the less bugs release will have. Of course a lot will go "why would I need to do their work!?" which I think is sad, if you don't want to do what a beta really is...don't be in the beta, wait for release.
But, what about yarn theory?
It cracks me up when men think they know what we're thinking!
(Knowing what we want is much easier and more important!)
2.1 looks good from what I've read so far, really looking forward to it
Yoshi's Woolly World and Kirby's Epic Yarn (and all the other fabric-based graphics games released in the last few years) have already done that.

I think you misunderstood, I look forward to 2.1 and I loved all updates we got so far. In my opinion FDEV delivered an amazing game and they will continue to do so. I just have low expectation because I like to get surprised rather than disappointed. Anyway, there will be bugs

And there will be people complaining, regardless of the work and effort FDEV put into it.

Well, i'm torn from left to right, right to left with every passing week, heck, every passing day without news.
I don't know what will await us, what they're going to throw at us.
But.
I think this time it will be different to the updates we've seen.
- we see a massive delay. when 2.1 goes live, half of the year will be already over, still 3 major updates remaining...
- we see almost no communication on actual state of development, no dev updates, no real newsletters.
which implies they're really busy.
- as with 2.1 the 'early access' ends (correct me if i'm wrong on this one), they know for sure they'll have to deliver this time.
And it'd better be good (following (re-)reviews determine sales).
I do believe it will be big. Of course it will not satisfy everyone, and many changes will be subtle but required a lot of effort to get right.
Pretty sure it will stay a 'grindfest', though.

But yeah. I'm getting impatient. Like, really, really impatient...

Not just PvP, but also PvE. Do you think FD would give us a way to increase all our stats by 10%, without also doing the same for NPCs? Those Elite NPCs would probably come with the full set of upgrades.

we (men) don't understand women, I tried for 25 years then I just gave up, now I'm +50 and I always tell my wife (married for 35 years) I'm a man, I can only remember 7 days back in time, don't expect me to remember what I said two weeks ago. I can't read your mind, and I don't read signals for deaf people, I need beer, beef, sleep and luving, anything beoynd that is a pipe dream.
