I'm paranoid about flying around inhabited space with a lot of data.
I'll be selling at the first station i see that i can dock at. I've scanned a lot of the border systems, so i'll be planning a route in, and choosing any non-anarchy system with a large station for docking. I will then unload my data on them before going anywhere.

LOL, yeah, that was funny. Zoomed out of galaxy map wondering how spread out people have become. Noticed a couple of CMDRs either already back or close to it. I was like shocked.
Can't remember who it was, whether it was OlFart or someone else who i had been chatting to, who said they had been flying all day and all night.
Have a look at Caucuma, it's an independant, medium security system on the borders of inhabited space, there's an outpost 17ls from the main star and a station 95ls away. It's one of my preferred safe systems for selling data.
Thanks. I'll be doing it in solo which will mitigate most of the risk. Honestly combat with NPC's isn't all that risky once you know what you're doing.
I sold my 130MCr from the last trip to the Fuel Rats, I'll likely do the same this time
As a fellow explorer on this trip, I would encourage you to sell your data at Cleve hub in Eravate to support Adle's Armada. If this is not totally against your role play, you free up resources on our end if you help us with our influence, so we have more manpower to protect new players around that area and send teams to protect community goal systems.
Anyone who is intrested in helping us out this way feel free to contact me and we will organise a protection wing for you that picks you up outside of the bubble and brings you safely all the way into Cleve hub, in any mode you like (well except Solo I guess
).

No hurry, though, as I'm still idling at BP
I'm gonna refit my Conda immediately upon arrival, full defensive outfitting. Then I'll spread the sales around a bit - I'd like an alioth permit, I like the guys at Anlave so I may sell a bit there, and the of course the to fuel rats need some data love. I'm not even through the abyss yet, though, so it'll be a while.

I'm a scaredy cat so I sell my data to the first bubble system I enter...which is usually Kano (the station is 13 LS from system entry point). I have no idea who is in charge there...

Going to go home, get rank 5 with sirius, and hope a CG appears by then. If not, I'll just divide my spoils between all the permit systems and finally get all the permits.

p.s I doubt I'll make 50 mill before Exploration bonus, no idea how people who scan enough to get 100-300 million are already back lol

It's probably because they're not writing newsletters, organising expeditions, moderating forums,liaising with FDev.... need I go on?
