Close enough! I remember blowing up my Sidewinder trying to boost out of the mail slot on day 1. I still boost out to this very day in my 'conda, and still occasionally blow up a Sidewinder doing so!

I stopped boosting out after I smacked my Cobra into the side of the port trying to avoid a much larger ship coming through the slot. I also have a bit of respect for those shieldless smugglers out there . I must be getting old...

Reminds me of my Son's very early attempts at Landing - He didn't have old-school Elite or flight sim experience to draw on. You gotta have some low ability NPC's alongside the good ones to maintain 'realism' / balance - though clearly a Human player would handle the initial situation better (I hope) [big grin]

Looking forward to the incoming NPC upgrades - I've seen some dark tweets from the 'Mistress of the Minions'

I don't know....harmless, eagle, I've seen players fly like that at that level, so maybe it is just affectively emulating just starting out?

Nowadays everyone can graduate from the Pilot Federation without ever having completed a starport docking...
Back in my days it was an honor to be even a "harmless" pilot of the pilot federation...

As for this specific case, I was really hoping for him to hit the boost...Was disappointed

I miss the old days when NPCs regularly slammed into the sides of stations - there was a decent profit to be made scooping up cargo, and it was always amusing to wonder what was happening outside when you were landed.
