2.1 Will have Air combat !

I recently had a pirate eagle follow me in an instance while running cargo to a surface port. I don't remember the exact altitude, but it was definitely close to the surface (after the glide towards the port), and we had combat alright. Can't say the eagle was much of a challenge, but it was trying to attack me, so combat is possible even at this time.

Yes happened to me too.
A wing followed me in.
But I was already too close to the surface station and they retreated back to space.
I tried to intercept them because I was eager to do some surface combat, but I wasn't fast enough.
I hope that after 2.1 pirates will become more audacious and give me some awesome surface battles too.

The Vulture (Sanguine Sparkle) is Tactical Crimson...
The Python (Discordant Thought) is Military Desert Sand, aka Pink... when it's not Black anyway.

I do like the Tactical Crimson. It's a great colour.

Back on topic, the planetary combat is exciting, but my frame rate isn't the greatest. Playable, but not optimal.

Just read the newsletter. Really impressive stuff I must say.

I'm really looking forward to trying out the new additions, specially the new weapons and the possibilities that open up with the Engineers modifications...

I was thinking ... that new weapon mod that was described in the news letter, the one that explodes and knocks ships off course ... that could be an excellent defensive mod for a planetary installation. Sort of like an AA flak emplacement.

Yay! Now we can be randomly interdicted by moronic NPC sidewinders near planets!
Well interdictions are not an issue in my opinion.
and sins based on what info we have the AI will be harder.
So , there are two ways it could go down :
-Interdictions only happen on the weak ships were the AI thinks they have a chance (how I wish it was)
-Interdictions are the same but NPCs are more fun to fight

Some pilots, especially the weakest ones will try their luck...which is why they say "I hope my rep..." when they are harmless.
You'll always have to deal with the desperate because there is no realism in just feeding you what you need....just so you rank up.

NPC's are getting a buff, may you never cry about such things.

Well I have been petitioning for a decent AI sins the beta days... I remeber back then it was Xwing alliance vetern AI in terms of AI , but it just kept getting lower and lower over time.
In my opinion AI should be hard as mandalorian-iron nails.

I agree with you.

Pink lasers? Don't they care anything about realism anymore? This is it! *hysterical tantrum*
Fun fact: There is no single wavelength pink light in the visible spectrum. So no pink laser.

Nor in fact, any laser you can see unless it's being fired at your retina, so what was your argument again?
